For anyone with an old windows laptop or computer......
I'm don't really know anything about computers but decided to have a go at
keeping my old " Windows Vista" laptop alive. as it's no longer supported by
microsoft or google.
So I backed up what little I had on it to a seperate hard drive, and on setting
it to restart, repeatedly hit the f8 key to open the reboot screen, set it to full
repair, followed the instructions and after half an hour or so my laptop was back
to its factory settings.
loaded up a couple of bits of softwear I use, then set about installing "Firefox" as
my new browser, and basically I now have a lovely fresh new laptop. )
added some free anti virus and malwear softwear, and everthing is working fine.

As some of you may know, I love my Bosch Indego robot mower.
Yesterday, I took it to the next level and purchased a BotVac
It's been running it's first round and I must say, that I love it.
I am amazed how much dirt is already in the container after the second room, and yes, the fact, that it goes under the bed, is a huge positive as well!
I've been concerned, that it'd fall down the stairs but it has 2 laser sensors, which go vertically, so that does not happen.

Many of my friends don't understand why I am not on Facebook.
And if you google my real name, you won't find a pic from me - only a bogus one which I've carefully chosen B-)
I have my reasons and if you don't understand, check this out:
It's about retargeting, they've developed a software in Russia, which will use any pic of yourself ( eg from a CCTV in the subway) and check it against all social network pics.
Will work great in Russia - now the FSB can easily find real names of protesters against the regime with just a mouseclick.
For sure we'll hear about other applications of this software - for example a russian group used the software to identify porn actresses and informed their frinds about their activities.

I am sure that the engineers had that in mind when they've been working overtime to get the fingerprint scanner working
