Sanchez Underrated?

Franz Sanchez in my opinion is one of the more ruthless villains of all time. He is a druglord that has no problem murdering anyone, even his own henchmen. Loyalty is his deal and if you oppose Sanchez, watch out. Definitely in my Top 5 villains.

I agree, and I think I have seen Sanchez mentioned by several others as one of the more memorable Bond villains. So I'm not so sure I would call him underrated.

Sanchez chewed a lot of scenery.
    not saying wasn't good.
just a little like too much.. probably due to having to share the screen with TD

Froebe, Lenya (Kleb), Shaw..tho..exuded pure evil.

Sanchez is one of the best Bond villans ever. You belive he could beat up Bond, You belive he could really exist and he still is completely at home in a Bond film.

I also think Sanchez is a very memorable villain. Ruthless, but also nonchalant.

Sanchez is definitely the most dangerous villain in Bond movie history. Perhaps the most dangerous since Zorin. Zorin showed how sadistic he could be when he massacred all his loyal henchmen in the mine shafts. But Sanchez made even him seem tame compared with his cold blooded merciless murders. Zorin's crazy sense of humour tended to lighten his killings. Even the mine scene had a touch of dark humour when he replied to Bob Conroy's protests that it was a convenient coincidence that all his men were inside when it was time to flood the fault. But Sanchez was all dark rage and malice.

That said I must also add how really tame Goldfinger seems at the end when he hijacks Bond's plane. The air crew got off very lightly by only being left tied up and gagged. Sanchez or Zorin would most likely have murdered them.

Yes, would have made a dark ending to a comic style movie however, that said, how did fat Auric get them tied up? Or did Pussy and her judo skills do it, maybe he ordered her to kill them and she let them off. :)

I think TD & both his films are underrated. Except for Joe Don Baker I think he was the wrong fit for a TD Bond film. LTK was great & well acted. I wish the truck chase at the end was a little more realistic but it was spectacular to watch though.
