Favourite as opposed to Best Bond actor...

Connery defined the movie Bond.
Brosnan brought a sincerity & intelligence to the role that has only been equaled by Craig.
Moore oozed a cool assurance.
Lazenby had the 'nothing phases me' down well due mostly IMO to his inexperience as an actor.
Dalton had incredible energy.

Name your subjective favourite actor, then try to step outside yourself to name who you consider to be the 'best' actor in the role.

My favourite is Connery/Brosnan (tie).
The best is Brosnan/Craig (tie).

The above is merely my opinion, and that's all I ask in this thread.

I think he came the closest to the Bond of the novels

Connery is a great actor and has that star quality, that makes you watch him.
I'm sure his casting as Bond was all important in the success of the series.

Roger Moore has great wit and is a class act. His memoirs were excellent and show he's not very different from how he appears in public. He was my first Bond and remains my favorite.

Without Connery there wouldn't have been a successful series. He had the comedy, action, and drama all down and in my opinion is the best actor in the role.

I'm sure his casting as Bond was all important in the success of the series.

And he was the only one to meet Fleming & talk to him. That surely had a fantastic influence on his take on Bond, along with Young's direction.

Over the years I have come to highly respect what he brought to the party. TSWLM is one of my top 5 Bond movies!

For me, my favorite also happens to be the best Bond actor - Sean Connery hands down!
