We have seen Ben Whishaw as Q in the teaser trailer. I think he looks very promising, but I fear he can turn out to be a computer wizz and littel more. What type of gadgets would you like to see him hand over to Bond?
Here are a couple of suggestions from me:

I'm also pretty curious to see what kind of gadgets (if any) Q is going to supply Bond with. Then again, the thought alone of finally having a Q again after ten years is pretty exciting on it's own! They proberbly won't go to much over the top with gadgets if they decide to include any. But then again, after two pretty serious films they could decide to have some fun again and put a classic Bond-ish slightly over the top gadget in there ... who knows

Yes, Bond sure wouldn't mind if Q handed Anne Rimmen to him. Unfortunately that would probably only happen by mistake, a bit like what happened here. I do think Q should issue gadgets like like the ones seen in the other links. I don't want Q to just give apps for Bond's smartphone, and I believe this is a good direction to go.

It got me thinking of how stupid it actually seems that Brosnan's Bond just shoots his autamatic weapon arround a corner without actually looking. When he is in a situation like shown in the above video. He doesn't stick his head arround the corner, he just sticks his arm out with his automatic weapon shoots away blindly and hopes to hit some enemies. I believe he did that in Tomorrow Never Dies on that stealth boat. (I'm sure some fans will know what I am talking about..)

From under the DB5. So Bond could follow One villian while the Probe kept tabs on another,
Or as in the Book bond could use it to attack an enemy as it would have a few weapons built in.
The corner shot looks good, But I've seen it in a movie already, can't think of it, But it will
come to me.
It's been bugging me since I posted it. )
In season 4 of Top Shot they used the Corner Shot also in an Elimination Challenge.
Aptly named "The Kiss of Death," Russia's infamous former security service, the KGB, used a sleek and sexy to take out targets from extremely close range, according to the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. The lipstick container also held a single 4.5 mm shot – small caliber but still potentially deadly.
Not to be outdone by its Russian counterparts, the CIA dove just as deep into the extreme gadget game. Pictured here in a photo provided by the Agency is the Dragonfly, an unmanned aerial vehicle, developed in the 1970s. The tiny surveillance craft was the first "micro UAV" the size of an insect to take flight, the CIA said.
to an almost razors edge. Then keep it for when you need a sharp edge. :v
and a set of Keys can be used as a nasy Knuckle duster.
Watching Bourne Yeasr ago. I pointed out
to my wife that he was going to use a magazine
as a weapon, and in another S Segal movie I pointed out
he was going to make a silencer from a coke bottle.
When she asked how I knew all this stuff, I just told
her it was from years of reading martial arts mags and
cheap thrillers. )
I sure many of these things wouldn't work in the real world
But who Knows, ............................................... :v

My other idea isn't a gadget for 007, but for M. M should have a car with a glass between the passenger seat and the driver. The glass should dampen sound a lot, but there should also be an option to darken up the glass. The main feature of the glass is that it's a touchscreen. The glass can show direct footage from various cameras around the car, maps, video conferance, documents etc.
This is pretty close to what many cars offer on the touch screen on the dashboard, but this is obviously much bigger. What really makes it special is inventive use. During a raid on a terrorist hideout M can watch direct footage from SAS helmet cameras while having the building plans on the screen too. He can talk to an agent via video and the agent sends secret documents to the screen that M can browse while talking to the agent.
So basically something like the gadget-laden Rolex watch he receives from Q Branch in the film Live and Let Die which he uses three times (magnetic field twice and circular saw once) in the mission for different purposes?
