I read about this, but the pic they had in the newspaper was not quite the same as the famous trunks.

Nap, thanks for posting this. I was trying on my eBay CR replicas at the weekend and the bloody elastic has gone. Who was it once said buy cheap, pay twice? My lil sis I think.

Now I am left in the situation of EITHER buying again off eBay OR getting the real deal.

Any thoughts please?

The La Perla reissue have been out for years as a reissue!! Check out www.internationaljock.com

I had a pair myself but sold them for an original pair (only diff is the badge however the badge was removed anyhow for the film hence the reissue is prob closer to the original!)

Not sure if anyone noticed that, but the current reedition of the LaPerla Lodato trunks is the most screen accurate model to date, as it has no branding whatsoever on the outside. I have the Maurilios with the small little metal logo on the front and now I'm pissed since these are far more accurate! Anyway, I'm sure some of you might want to know - sorry if this was actually mentioned before.
