Villains:
1. Blofeld (especially in the early movies when you don't see his face. Has anyone ever noticed that in FRWL his face is just not in the frame for us to see while Kronstein and Klebb can see it and in Thunderball his face is behind luxaflex so the other members of SPECTRE can't see it?
2. Dr. No (I really like the fact you first see him three third into the movie while his presence is looming over the movie from the start)
3. Kahn (An unconventional choice maybe but I really like the way Louis Jordan underplays him)
4. Sanchez (Great villain)
5. Mr. Big (However, I like him better in the novel)
6. 006 (Maybe Goldeneye is not as good as I thought it was when I first saw it but it is still one of my favorites. Bean does a great job and it is easy to believe he could be a difficult adversary for 007, unlike his successor Carver.
7. Rosa Klebb ("He seems fit enough")
8. Scaramanga (Not in my top 10 films, but to me it is impossible not to like Christopher Lee)
9. The rest
Favorite villians:
1. Franz Sanchez. Though not as classic as Dr. No or Blofeld, he is my favorite villian, and one of the main reasons I think LTK is such a good movie. Robert Davi is excellent. Charming, yet menacing. He even has some funny moments. The thing I like about him so much is that he's a realistic villian. He doesn't hollow in a volcano setting up a plan for world domination. He's a business man, a druglord that you would believe to excist in the real world. He likes money, yet loyality in his organisation is the more important thing. I also like that all his goons seem pretty regular, without any special treats. You would believe that some of them where his friends in the past and happen to lift on his succes by staying loyal.
2. Fransisco Scaramanga. Just like the whole idea behind his character. Being the world's greatest assassin, challeging Bond, his adversary. He lives on a tropical island with a small midget and a girlfriend who seems more of a prisoner. I even think the third nipple thing is a very good idea. Weird, but creative. Christopher Lee does a great job.
3. Alec Trevelyan Yet another very creative idea for a Bond villian. Bond up against a former MI6 agent, one he used to work with a lot, and knows al about him. Sean Bean fits the role perfectly. Somehow, I could actually picture Daniel Craig in this role, I think it would have suited him quite well.
4. Auric Goldfinger Just classic. Gert Frobe is excellent for the role. The dubbing still is seemless to me. Always enjoyed his cunning 'operation grandslam" sceam.
5. Le Chiffre I think he pretty much stands out as one of the more intresting villians of recent years. DAD en QOS had terrible villians in my opinion. Mads Mikkelsen had a menace to him that wasn't seen in a very long time.
6. Elektra King The only main villian in the entire movie franchise to be a female. Which kind of makes her unique. Although it first seemed Renard was the main villian of TWINE, he later seemed to be just the henchman. I liked the concept behind Renard, but it wasn't worked out well at all.
Favorite Henchman:
1. Jaws Mainly the way he was in TSWLM. He was more of a cartoon character in MR. He was very menacing, and just kept on surviving everything. The guy has metal teeth, fits perfectly in the Bondavurse! Classic!
2. Oddjob Thé quintessential henchman. The metal hat... enough said... pure classic Bond stuff.
3. Xenia Onnatopp Very hot. She kills with her thighs. and to top it off, Famke Janssen is Dutch - and plays her extremly well.
4. Red Grant Liked him a lot in FRWL. A Russian killing machine, very menacing concept. I am currently reading the novell, and like his character even more now.
5. Nick Nack Gotta like this little guy. Very memorable henchman.
