I was predicting people would ask me about that one!

I for one actually think the line was meant to be funny, "I love James so much" as if she just wanted to taunt Pam a little, that was always my interpertation of it... And always thought it was pretty funny, not a cringe moment for me!
And yeah sure she is far from being the best actress of the 80'ies... - But a latin woman, brown eyes (!), tanned skin, funny hispanic accent truly wins it for me to an american agent with short hair... (Not that I don't like Pam.) So all in all, I just don't favorite any of the other Bond girls from that decade above her... She's beautifull, not the best, but just my favorite of the 80'ies :)

I totally agree with you about her looks, but I think you're way off base about the "I love James so much" line. She wasn't trying to be funny. She was trying to ACT........and failing miserably! Nice try, though.

Her role as a geologist. I think that was a start for a change of the persona of the Bond girls, among others in the series. Not simply being a worthless character like Ms. Goodnight in Golden Gun.

Also I'm changing my favorite henchmen from the 00s from Zao to Miranda Frost.
