Well mine got lost in the post from Germany (5 weeks later it arrived)
Was worried about sizing (I sized up to an XXL) and glad I did as its perfect across shoulders, upper back and chest. It is a bit baggy lower down however like people say this is the way this jacket is.
After much deliberating I have pre-ordered the jacket from Goodstead. I made a couple of calls to local Barbour shops to check my sizing and have ordered a Large (I measure 40" in the chest). I spoke to Goodstead on the phone before ordering and they said they had 3 Large and 10 X-Large jackets left available for pre-order. He also mentioned that they had sold 20 jackets today and if I wanted the jacket I was not to hang about!
I was in Carnaby Street today and called in to inquire about November availability. The sales person said they were only expecting a couple in each size and that demand was incredibly high (they said were taking about 30 calls a day from interested parties). The sales guy went on to say that when the jacket does come in they would be hiring security to make sure things do not get out of hand!
Any idea where the best bet to buy or pre-order a XXL online might be? I'm a 46 chest size and normally wear an XL so I figure a XXL would be best. Opinions?

I'm interested in this jacket, and have seen that it is mostly sold out / preorder only on some websites. If I am going to order, what size would I need? As many of you have stated it comes up small.
I usually take a small in all my upperbody clothes, including jackets. My chest is c.35-36 and my waist c 29.
Can you guys give me a rough idea if a S or a M would be suited to me?

Unless you have unusually wide shoulders relative to the rest of your measurements a Small would be good. I have a Small and I posted my measurements upthread (42" chest for example). I could maybe have the upper back let out an inch otherwise it's perfect - but I have to wait to see if the material stretches the way that some people say.
Went to the J Crew Men's store in SoHo NYC today to try on the jacket. I normally wear a small but the small toki jacket was way to tight, had trouble sticking my arms into the sleeves and couldn't even button the front, so I tried medium and it fit perfectly. Too bad it costs $750 and the 15% student discount doesn't apply. Then I went to the goodstead website and it only cost $528! (333 pounds) with no tax and free shipping so I jumped in on it. )
For the record, I'm 5'8", 155lbs, 37" chest
PS: Seems like only Small, XL, and XXL are available at goodstead now, so glad I bought it when I did
Had my XL delivered today. Very excited, tried it on...and it's too tight! The chest and back are just about OK, but it's too tight under the armpits! I'm quite broad shouldered so hopefully the XXL will give me a little more room.
To that end I have just ordered a pre-ordered XXL with Goodstead. Once that is delivered sometime in January then I'll put my XL up for sale on this site.

Hi. Out of interest what chest size are you?
I am a 42in chest but suffer with quite broad shoulders.

I hope the XXL works for you. I have preordered a Large from Goodstead. I measure 40" in the chest which is a medium on the Barbour sizing chart. I sized up as everyone is advising so fingers crossed I should be okay. You won't have any difficulty selling the jacket in January.
Looks almost identical but not waxed cotton. Was on a great sale at Orvis in the US.
So I got this today and first impression is its a perfect non waxed version of the To Ki To one. Right up until putting it on. First of I'm a pretty big dude. 6'3" with a 46-48 chest depending on brand. This hung on me like a XXXXXL. Here is a rather bad cell phone picture.
I measured it and the XL (46-48) has a pit to pit of 29 inches. A 58 is almost 10 inches bigger than stated. As I did a little more research, traditional Barbours are sized about 8-10 inches larger than the stated measurement.
So back it goes. I may wait to try on one of the traditional wax coats, Beauford if I can find one I think.
Man... I missed the pre-order on goodstead. I need a medium and couldn't access the site from my work comp, but checked the size on my mobile. Site was being picky on my phone, so I waited till I got home. NO DICE! Still looking for a medium, looking to spend!

It looks like Barbour are really ramping up production of this jacket. (To be honest who can blame them, in today's economic environment if a company can jump on a major film release like Skyfall and shift extra units it must be a godsend for them). I think I will wait until the new year when the market will be awash with them.
Hi everybody. I'm living in Turkey and I found this jacket in Barbour Store. Maybe it can be good alternative for you. I want to share you some photos.

Cheers, Mantis. Love the Youtube channel and enthusiasm you have.
I'm based in Tokyo, so I am trying to find somewhere with the Tokito Barbour stuff still in stock. I wonder if I could even interview the great man

I think this is practically everybodys last chance to get this jacket! Buy now not next week!
Its a great quality jacket by the way!!
Totally agree mate.
The guy at Goodstead said it was very unlikely there will be any more of this jacket after January's delivery.
Buy it now or forever hold your piece!
Here you go.
