im kinda glad I ordered from cultizm. They havent done any major restocks of their barbour yet, only one size whenever an order was canceled. They still remain sold out. That just puts my mind at ease because it means im more likely to actually get my order fulfilled.

my friends and I ordered from Kafka too. Could we perhaps check with BARBOUR official headquarters if they really are going to supply these many to KAFKA or if, as someone suggested it is a money grabbing scheme? If we don't get our jackets, some form of legal action should be taken against Kafka. Although I'm sure they realize it won't be good for their reputation to dupe customers in such a fashion! What do others think? Is someone in the UK able to speak to Barbour about this? Thanks

There def legit so I would not worry about losing money, my concern is simply whether they will be able to provide them

that was my concern as well...i just felt it would be unethical to pre-sell stuff they may not even be getting! And if that is indeed the case, I'm sure Barbour would be alb to confirm if they have released huge numbers to kafka

Can anyone comment on the sizing of the skyfall sports jacket vs. the Barbour To Ki To Mountain Parka? I tried on the mountain parka size medium, and the shoulders were a bit too tight, and the body was too loose. 6' 2", 170lbs, 40R suit jacket, 32x32 pants- I prefer things that are fitted, and generally fit in medium across the board.

The shoulders of the Barbour Skyfall Jacket are also tight and the body a lilttle loose. Fit is the same like the Mountain Parka.

    5ft 12in? ;)

I'd say large for a 42 in chest.

If you were 6 foot, I would say XL...but since you are 5' 12" best to go with a large....

    okay thanks ! ;)

I just ordered my Large on a french website (yes, i'm french :D )

I'm just a little scared about the tight shoulders (for a european L) and the long arms (same)... but i can't reasonably order a M :/

    I don't speak english very well but if I well understand 6 foot = 5'12'' = the same ? :D If so i understand your LOL ^^

Just ribbing you, brother! I took a medium at 40R broad shoulders and 5' 9"....so you should be fine...

    Definitely Large :)
  • Mc_FlyMc_Fly Posts: 4MI6 Agent
I don't say a word about that but I expect to wear the jacket with only fit t shirts, no big sweats etc... so will i have the "very" fit effect i want with the L or M may be a better choice ?

The problem is that i don't realise how tight the shoulders are on this jacket, when i look at The Mantis pictures i could see myself in a M... it doesn't seem to me i have larger shoulders... also the sleeves fits perfectly on him and we have practically the same size... so i'm afraid of the longer of the sleeves and torso with the L :s

I hear ya...that's why I went with a medium...but you are taller than me...

I have a L and XL on preorder with Goodstead and Kafka. Not sure on sizing. I'll sell the one I don't need at £400 + p&p. Not looking to make money on eBay.

Can anyone supply measurements of a large across shoulders and pit to pit please. I have an xl on pre order from kafka but fear it may be too big. They are still showing size large as available on the web page so I may ask them to switch.
I'm 95 kg. 1.89. Or 6' 2.5" and 215 ibs in old money. 44 chest 34 waist. I have a superdry wax jacket in xl..... It's a bit tight in the shoulders but I like the fit. I know everyone says these run small but I can't imagine as small as superdry?

They run really small up top, mid section and bottom seem to bell out a lot, you might have same problem as me and forced to go higher just to get your shoulders into the jacket. I dont think anybody can really say for sure and its sadly a case of trying one

Remember that Barbour do an alteration service. They have just returned mine and its perfect, you'd never known it had been altered. Customer service there are very friendly

Logistically, it would be exceedingly difficult for me, living so remotely, to have alterations done by Barbour. But, it's probably a good option for many.

I just found these measurements for a large, as described by a seller on Ebay:

    Armpit to Armpit - 57cm
Back from bottom of collar to hem - 76cm
Width of the bottom of the jacket - 60cm
Sleeve length from armpit to cuff - 52cm

If these are accurate, I think the large may be a more tailored fit on my frame :#

If these are accurate I'm going to need large over xl for fitted look. Did you get your large and find these to be accurate?

I have an XXL preordered with Kafka. I'm wondering if anyone can give me an opinion on how they think it might fit. I am 6'6", 205 lbs, with a 42" chest. Because I am so tall, I have very long arms. I did my research and read that you should order a size up in this jacket, but then again XXL seems like it will be huge. Any thoughts?
