I'm not bothered about the button thing in the slightest but seeing as I have both an XL and L in hand at the moment, this is what the XL looks like:
    ToKiTo_106.jpg

... as you can see the button all align along the bottom. And this one was from the second run that are being sent out now. Looking at some of the ones on Ebay the buttons do have some inconsistency - it may even have something to do with the sizing affecting where they place the pockets.

And no, the button location doesn't affect the ability to do up the L or XL that I have.

Well, as long as it buttons up and still looks alright, I can live with it. :)

Is this on all the new sizes? I've only seen people posting their larges and XL. Maybe the mediums are unaffected? Looking back in this thread, I don't really see any large or XL jackets posted, only mediums. And all the stock photos are of mediums.

Did you email inquiring? I haven't heard anything since they sent me my confirmation of order a week or so after I placed it securing my medium.

The next batch was due late January, so probably by the time they are sent, we will be into February. I was told by Kafka they expected the next batch to be delivered to them late January/early February, with them being sent out as soon as they arrive.

I have an Xl never worn (except to see that it didn't fit me!) and willing to swop for an L or an M.

I contacted Goodstead today about my November pre-order. Was told they will start shipping from the end of next week.

I'll have an XXL next month and would love to trade for the XL if you're interested at all.

If anyone has pre-ordered from End Clothing, I e-mailed them yesterday asking about an estimated shipping date, and they told me they expect the jackets within the next 2 weeks, but they don't have an exact date from Barbour yet. The end of this month cannot come fast enough!

Greetings, I know there is a lot of discussion about sizing of this jacket but was hoping someone with experience could help. I'm caught between a L and XL, I'm 6' and wear about a 40R suit. I do have fairly broad shoulders.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Go for L the XL is a little wide and long.

Thanks, that's helpful. Here's a thought, it seems many are commenting that the jacket fits tight in the shoulder's and is roomy everywhere else. Has anyone tried sizing it big and having it tailored?

    I'm 6'm 170lbs, when measuring a suit, 40" chest, 18.5" across the shoulders, 24.5" sleeve, 32" waist.

I bought a medium, which is a close fit (as is the style of the moment) and I can wear a shirt and light jumper. I dont plan to wear anything heavier. It is a sportcoat at the end of the day, made in waxed cotton.

If you broader I would go for the large.
Dont wait for your ship to come in. Swim out and meet the bloody thing.

Thanks for the tip. I rang up the shop this afternoon (GMT) and found that someone had already called and purchased all three of the jackets. I've already got a Medium on order from Kafka but after reading recent posts here I'm afraid it might be a little too big for me, so I'm trying to locate a Small.

Hmmmmm....have a look at the great eBay thread and a post from our latest member on the ajb.
I think I've worked out who has purchased them and in my opinion seriously trying to take advantage.
Apparently 2 coats are available from him (meaning he's kept one for himself)

See his ebay listing which has gone live today.
