That's great news. That Aspecto blog post is dated January 4 and says that the next batch for late-February delivery will be available for pre-order in the next 3 to 4 weeks, so perhaps 1 to 2 weeks from now? It also says that this batch is the "last quantity until Winter 2013..." Does that mean that this exact same jacket will be produced again for next winter as well? Or will it perhaps be some variation?
I also wonder if what Aspecto is getting is the entire "last quantity" or if the other various outlets discussed here (Kafka, End, Stuarts, etc.) will all be getting "last quantities" of their own.

Not recently. The only email I got from them was about a month ago. Robert wrote:
"This is the first time we have pre-sold any item and although we were not totally comfortable with doing so, it is probably the only way we can guarantee that customers will take the jacket when it is available.
Hope you understand and we will keep you informed with the production updates.
We have been told mid February but hopefully, we may get them earlier.
In the meantime if you do change your mind, please let me know and I can cancel the order and refund the purchase."
I had an email today from Aspecto, the Nov pre-orders are on their way to Barbour HQ ready for shipping to Aspecto. They said late Jan to first week in Feb delivery is possible on registered trackable Parcelforce.
"We started shipping out the first batch yesterday, and so far Barbour have delivered the jackets on time.
So as long as they keep coming in on time you should be looking at a delivery some time in February.
If you haven’t heard anything by early February, please get in touch."
Regarding the coming pre-order from Aspecto, bad news for those of us in the US:
"Could you also note that Barbour do not allow us to retail their goods outside the United Kingdom and have very strict policies on distribution. If you reside outside the UK are are unable to get someone witin the UK to order this jacket on your behalf then I regret we will not be able to ship the item to you and any payments will have to be refunded."

I call bullshit, that has to be an "Aspecto" thing whatever or whoever they are. I ordered mine on the link posted above and they will ship to USA. Although it turned out that they will ship it till end of February, turns out it it was a small lot they were getting from a pre-order, and not on-stock as they had said...
Why the hell have they changed the bottom button position on the skyfall jackets, that really annoys me, I sent an email to Barbour but no reply as yet.

And yes, spoke to some stores in UK about it. What they told me is that Barbour is on the last batch of jackets before they stop production to resume in winter 2013. If that is true or not, its up to you, but some e/retailers are already stating that.

I would have been having 2 mediums and 2 larges, as I vary I size, one of each I was going to get made screen accurate, so 1600 pounds and I still might not get one that is correct.
