Regarding the coming pre-order from Aspecto, bad news for those of us in the US:
"Could you also note that Barbour do not allow us to retail their goods outside the United Kingdom and have very strict policies on distribution. If you reside outside the UK are are unable to get someone witin the UK to order this jacket on your behalf then I regret we will not be able to ship the item to you and any payments will have to be refunded."

I call bullshit, that has to be an "Aspecto" thing whatever or whoever they are. I ordered mine on the link posted above and they will ship to USA. Although it turned out that they will ship it till end of February, turns out it it was a small lot they were getting from a pre-order, and not on-stock as they had said...
Oh well.
I have no idea. If this is true, maybe Barbour's US distributors complained about being undercut by UK outlets? Except it's not like the jacket didn't sell out everyplace here anyway. Maybe it takes more work to ship them abroad and Aspecto figures they can sell them all to UK customers, so why bother? "0%VAT USA ORDERS" is on their front page.

Depends what fit you want! For me, a t shirt and shirt underneath gives a good fitted look across the shoulders. However, i couldn't wear a thick sweater under it and look normal or shoot a gun, which is kind of the whole point of a Barbour.

Also, the blog entry doesn't say they "might be getting more in", it says that they "have managed to secure the last quantity until Winter 2013..."
