I assume all Cultizm pre-orders that are shipping to the US will still be fulfilled right?

I have a LARGE (L) that I am considering selling as I'm just not getting any serious use out of it.

Purchased in August 2012 has been worn about 5 times. So used, but excellent condition. Have all of the tags / Barbour Pin etc.

Open to (serious) offers - PM me and then if you need any pictures etc of the jacket I can mail them to you.

    Can be sent immediately.

Hi can you email me on sryan10@live.co.uk as I would be interested in the jacket. I do a lot of outdoor activities so I certainly would have the use for it.
    Thanks

Hi all! This is my first post here! Cool to see all you fashion-minded blokes making it happen around here..

I just thought I would say-I called Barbour US directly and they told me who ordered what stock and were able to direct me to a number of small, fine men's stores that had new stock coming in Jan/Feb. I was able to order a Large, although all sizes were available.

Sometimes the most direct route is the best!

Very smart. Can I ask how much you paid?

Why the hell have they changed the bottom button position on the skyfall jackets, that really annoys me, I sent an email to Barbour but no reply as yet.

Any updates? Did you hear from Barbour?

Would you mind sharing what US retailer you ordered your Large from?

I ordered an XXL from North River Outfitter (in The US) on the 22 of November for the on sale price of $639.20. I still haven't received it and have been told the first week of February it will be overnighted to me as soon as they receive it.

    Hi there

Has anyone had any experience of getting their jacket altered? Or whether the jacket eases over time?

Specifically I'm looking to get the jacket let out a bit in the shoulders. I am 6ft 3, chest 40, and have a size large jacket but I find it catches a lot in the shoulder area.

I rang Barbour UK and they say they don't do this sort of alteration. I have seen people say they have had the back let out a bit but it's difficult to see where the material would come from...

    Any suggestions/ advice appreciated

    Thanks

I've had mine since October and feel that the upper area, across the shoulders, has stretched out a little bit. I had originally thought about letting the back out an inch (apparently there is enough material that this can be done, just make sure the tailor uses waterproof thread) but it seems okay now. The armpits are tight, but were also tight when I went up a size (just a tiny bit less so). The funny thing is that the first Small that I tried on seemed near impossibly tight and that was with a very thin running top on underneath. But then the second Small that I tried on seemed to fit more comfortably even though I was wearing a dress shirt and medium weight wool sweater! So it seems like there can be some variation in the sizing.

It may be Barbour has some quality control issues.

I received my jacket from Goodstead on Friday.

Firstly, I would like to thank everybody who has contributed to this thread. I have never bought any clothing 'blind' before and the advice given meant I was able to order the right size jacket for me. I was going to modify the jacket to make it SA, but having received the jacket I do like the whole ensemble. It's such a beautiful jacket that I feel any such modifications would be akin to butchery!

No that it matters greatly, but for the purposes of adding to debate I thought I would comment on the positioning of the buttons on the jacket. The middle and bottom button are closer together than the middle and top button. Also the bottom button is higher than the buttons on the pockets, whilst I understand that on some jackets these buttons are aligned.

For information I measure 40" in the chest, weigh 13 stone 3 pounds and am 6'2". I am really happy with the fit which feels and looks made to measure.

Thanks for the feedback, very helpful.

I've taken it to a good alteration tailor today, and they are letting out the lining of the jacket around the back and the shoulders. There's a bit to let out there already, and while they'll have to add a bit of black lining in places it's a decent trade for a jacket that doesn't pinch. The actual frame of the jacket seems to fit fine already. Crucially, I don't have to worry about them altering the look of the actual jacket. I get it back on Friday so I'll report back.

I would but I'm not sure how to post photos. If someone could point me in the right direction I will have a go.

Go to imgur.com and upload them to that site. Then just use the image tag in the message (it's next to the A with the painbrush) and paste in the URL to the image.

If you're in the UK or have a friend there who can take delivery for you, go to www.aspecto.co.uk. You'll see a link on the front page to email them and "register interest" on the next batch of pre-orders, which they say they have already secured and which will be the final batch. Don't delay, they could go on sale at any time.

And while you're waiting for confirmation that you're on their list, it will probably be prudent to check their site to see if the sale has gone live.

You can try aspecto.co.uk and write them an email to let them know you are interested in purchasing barbour jacket. Act fast 'cause they don't have much in stock! =D

    Hope this helps.
