I'm 5'8 and 13.5 stone. I play a lot of sport so im a broad build. Would a medium barbour sports jacket be to tight? I was thinking of getting a large but i dont want it to be to long on me? are they a long fitting jacket?
Can anyone PLEASE help me locate one? I've searched the web for hours now but I have had no luck! Any help would be much appreciated!
    Thanks

You can try aspecto.co.uk and write them an email to let them know you are interested in purchasing barbour jacket. Act fast 'cause they don't have much in stock! =D

    Hope this helps.

Thanks. Will do. What size would you recommend?

i'm 6' tall and wear 38S from jcrew. i go for slim fit style so i went for Medium since the official site stated that Medium has 40 chest.

i've tried small just in case and my shoulder was too wide to fit into the jacket.

my friend is 36S from jcrew and Small fits perfect for him. he's smaller and slimmer than i am and he's loving the fit.

    Hello,

Would some one with an XXL kindly post the measurements?

I'm struggling like so many others to get the correct size and I've seen two different measurements on two different websites.

    Cheers.

Hello, I received my XXL from Kafka today and it fits perfectly. I'm 6'6" and I weigh 205 lbs. I have extremely long arms, and I'm obviously pretty tall, and both the sleeve and torso length are fine in the XXL. The chest is fitted but not exceedingly tight. I'd say someone with a 44 inch chest could wear the XXL, but beyond that, it might be too small.

Would you mind sharing your approximate measurements? I may soon be in the same boat with a Medium on the way from Kafka.

Also, from which shop did you order the jacket and in which country do you live? Thanks.

I have 2 Medium Skyfall Barbour's with a Feb delivery. I would consider trading one for a Billy Reid pea coat in a medium.
    PM me if you're interested

Thanks, kavi. We USA Kafka customers are looking for any clues as to when our jackets will arrive.

I think I have a 37" chest. Maybe the Medium will fit well with a heavy sweater.

I think alot of people who ordered a medium , due to fears about sizing , are going to be disappointed . Im 5'9'' , with a 38'' chest , and I'm wearing a size 'small' . Although this pic isnt a great representation , it gives an idea of the overall fit . I'm also wearing a sweatshirt and a T-Shirt under it !! My advice : if you're smaller than me , then a medium will probably drown you . It's designed to be a very slim fit . Good luck guys .

Thanks, and I suspect you're right. Based on a few semi-conflicting accounts, I can't help but wonder if there are variations between same-sized jackets. That is, some Mediums may be bigger/smaller than other Mediums. But I am exactly as you suggest, someone who opted for a Medium because of all the "jackets run slim, order up!" warnings, and because I do wear Medium clothing in certain brands. I would feel more comfortable today if I had a Small on the way instead of the Medium, but who knows what will actually arrive.

I’m 5’11”, about 150 lbs, 36” chest, and am usually a 38R suit size (although in some brands such as Banana Republic or H&M I have to size up to a 40R). I’m still waiting for my pre-ordered Large from End Clothing to ship, but I was fortunate enough to try this jacket on in person at J. Crew last year. I initially went for a Medium, which is my usual size for most clothes, but I found it surprisingly tight. I could barely move my arms, and all I was wearing was a simple long-sleeve t-shirt and v-neck sweater. The Large was much more comfortable, although it was obviously a bit roomier in the body than the Medium. I know that Bond wore his very fitted, but I figure that if I’m going to wear this jacket on a regular basis, I want my shoulders & arms to be comfortable, with room to fit warm layers underneath. I suppose everyone’s sizing decision will be a little different depending on the fit you want, but in my case, going up one from my usual size was the right decision.

Really? I am a 46 inch chest and the barbour sales guy said that would be fine if you wear just a thin layer under it.

I'm around 44 and my XXL is too big in chest but snug in the shoulders hence why I'm trying a XL
