I have this jacket at the moment.
You lucky man. Glad Barbour made/making this to give people a chance who missed out on the original.

No we don't work for Barbour, however over the last six months or so, my girlfriend and I have both been frequent visitors to the headquarters store which is a stones throw away from where we live. I have checked regularly and even spoke to someone who works there, in order to get my hands on a sports jacket. However, his advice was to wait until AW13 because they're releasing the version I currently have. In the last two months or so we've picked up some very limited items of clothing and accessories from the store.

Here's how it works, Barbour create one finalised product after an agreement is made with the bosses of the company. That product is then sold off as it technically isn't due for release until the following season. They can't repair it or make any modifications until the official release of the product. The jacket is indeed named Commander and is the one which will be coming in AW13 with catalogue number MWX00070171, and will be part of the Dept. (B) line. I was just fortunate to be in the right place and right time, and I got it at a fantastic price. Assuming the price the guy in the shop was quoting doesn't change.

I thought some of you may be interested in this. I just discovered an online shop in Germany, that still offers the lodge jacket in M, L, and XL for EUR 549 + Shipping (e.g. UK = EUR 13.50).

    http://www.nik-fashion.de/index.php?s=3&cat_id=1975_Jacken&artikel=23035_BARBOUR+BEACON+HERITAGE+Jacke+TO+KI+TO&AllSubCat=27922&Search_Brand=BAR&ref=518&Sprache=GB

    First, a huge thank-you to David C. M. for this post. For some dumb reason I waited a day and a half to get to this site and then was amazed to find the XL still available. Ordered it and then expected to be Dame Judi's age by the time I received it. It arrived today! Absolutely perfect, and I mean perfect fit for me, 6' 1", 192 lbs., 42 1/2" chest. Buttons equally spaced so not SA and no tag showing where made. Will probably have the inside flap removed but leave the buttons and zipper. I could care less about any of this; this is one bitchin' jacket! (Yes, I grew up in the 60's) It was around 70 degrees here today so now I'm just praying for cold! -{

    Hi Guys,

I have a brand new with tags XXL for sale. I believe it has SA button spacing.
I'm open to offers and will post worldwide. I appreciate that many here won't want to pay over the odds for this and if thats the case i'll just put it on ebay, just thought i'd give those on this forum who may not have managed to acquire one the first chance to make me an offer.

Thanks and apologies if this is posted on the incorrect forum.

Looks like Cultizm has more jackets in stock; S, M, L, and XL. Not sure if it's a pre-order, or in hand ready to ship stock.

Damn, by the time I saw this and went there the XLs are all gone

has anyone bought from them? Who do they use to ship? Do they discount the vat? Its a pricey item with them
  • TheExit148TheExit148 Posts: 563MI6 Agent
They ship Fedex, or at least to Canada they did. They do discount the VAT.

I think Cultizm has them on stock. Like in the UK shops in Germany where able to make one re-order. I just have the information of to shops. One could order 6 and the other 20 jackets. I think it depended on how many they had primarily in stock. I'm surprised, that there is still a shop with so many different sizes and obviously a bigger batch.

But I would assume Customs would tax 20%?
Anyways, if any one has a XL in Canada they are willing to sell, let me know...since I just missed this batch

In which country is the Skyfall Lodge jacket made ?
  • ReturningsonReturningson Posts: 560MI6 Agent
Cultizm is kickass. Thats all I can say. I got my jacket from across the pond (im in the US) the day after their batch arrived, took only five days to get to me. They discounted the VAT and put it as a "personal item-not for resale" on the customs form and marked it as a declared value of only 140.00 so I didnt pay any import tax at all. Those guys are al top notch and extremely efficient.

Thats cool, did you ask them to do so or did it just show up one day like that?

Thank you so much for that info, I was able to order a medium just now.

It seems my claim about my Barbour with the wrong buttons has been forgotten about and just when I think i'm going to have it taken care of, no more response from them. I am still going to try but I was afraid of getting stuck with this jacket.

Oddly enough reading thru the posts, it seems like the XLs are mostly the ones not "SA", most L and M are. Havent seen anything about the smalls since of course, they would be big enough for a 10 year old.

It really amazes me how people are still talking about the buttons when, as another member already mentioned, to get it SA you need to remove the hood zip, tailor it, rough it up more and take off some buttons. Then, and only then, would I consider a 'button spacing' discussion useful.

I've worn this jacket an awful lot over the past 6 weeks and, regardless of it being in Skyfall, would recommend it to anyone. And the Commander version coming out next season.

When did you order of cultizm? I ordered mine ages ago bit still no sign of it coming. I have found them helpful in communicating but they still haven't verified when my jacket will be ready for shipping.
    Thanks
