With my birthday coming up soon & Xmas not far behind I'm looking to put out present ideas amongst family & friends. I've looked on Amazon & seen two books which piqued my interest; JAMES BOND UNMASKED & THE MAKING OF ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE. Has anybody read either of these? I'd appreciate any feedback from fellow fans. Thanks in anticipation.

I think the amazon reviews on the making of ohmss are reliable, including one naysayer who says it could do with some editorial flair and proofing. It get rave reviews here and on mi6-hq website, then again I think the author is a member of mi6-hq, not sure. But yeah, even John Gardner's books can get five stars on amazon, but in this case the rating seems deserved.

    Dunno about the other one.

Have you tried Henry Chancellor's book on Ian Fleming's Bond books? James Bond: The Man And His World. That's my fave of recent years.

Although it is an older book (I believe it was released in 2002) James Bond The Lagacy by John Cork is a very nice book. I haven't read he books you are referring to unfortunately.
