My JB 007 replica prop collection

I havent been collecting Bond stuff for very long and as you will understand, got addicted fairly quickly. For space and common financial restrictions have had to be careful and considered about what additions are made and it also inspires me to try and put my own replicas together where I can, something else that was only started a couple of years back.

Will kick things off with my Spy Who Loved Me Seiko. Firstly, paid $90 for this a couple years back, its in worn but good condition as you can see and it still works fine, was that a good price for the watch?

At the time I only had the new model Dymo label maker but gave it a go anyway and punched out a label, then sprayed it with aluminium paint and finished with a coat of satin gloss so it could be handled. Didnt realise till the other day that the vintage Dymo i got for another project recently would finish off the original idea and heres the final product, love to know what you think.

Cheers fellas -{ I always wanted a Bond gadget watch, especially one that prints Dymo labels :)) and this seemed the most gettable. Theres an awesome Live and Let Die Buzzsaw watch ive seen in other places, would love to add one of those. B-)

Im with you on that one,I love the watches, for me the buzz saw was a holy grail being LALD was my first Bond :) Leo (Scaramanga 037) made the one I own, he sourced a very good vintage fake to chop up and made an excellent prop.

It is one of my favourite items :)

Congrats, Ive got my fingers crossed that there will be another wave of most excellent replicas being made again, looking back
at some of the stuff here, have missed some great items.

    Thanks Teppo.

Next up is my Bond replica gun collection, started off with a Denix PPK. Taped up the top and sprayed the barrel silver and eventually will find the right brown and paint the grips that colour.

The best I could get at the time was a training P99 which I modified to look as real as possible and it came out well enough that I dont think a replacement is needed.

After that came the FE GG, was very tempted to get the Signiture edition but happy with the regular. Would like to find a good way of displaying it in parts.

Ive always loved the Moonraker laser long before I got into the prop side of things and when the morganthirteen kit came out, had to grab one, such a clean final product didnt even have to sand anything really, love it.

Lastly came the Drax laser pistol, this should be fun to modify to look screen used, the groundwork put in by Ed should make it more of a pleasure.

Still lots more out there to add but I have to follow a self imposed rule from day one, can only collect from the Connery, Moore and Craig eras, it hurts sometimes as there is some wicked stuff from the other gents work but had to draw a line somewhere.
Would love to see others gun/weapon collections.

Thanks again for the comments guys. The stands are modified plate display stands BCW.

As mentioned before, I only collect Connery, Moore and Craig replicas and signing up here was a good excuse to take some new pictures. Starting with Connery, I found this file on ebay and is a collection of paper props from Thunderball, You Only Live Twice and From Russia with Love, its one of my favorite pieces. The phone is an old black one I had around that seemed perfect for a "government" makeover, could work for either side and has a goofy light added. :))

The rest is fairly well known stuff probably made my members here but the Slumber Inc envelope, phone, cig case door opener and Thunderball silencer were all scratch made.

Lol as Teppo kindly says, 'Maggie' is the nickname given to the replica of the breathing device handed to 007 from Q in Thunderball.

    1A902735-F57E-4690-BA55-C9782357529D-3324-000004BD1EE59944.jpg

I made Maggie completely from scratch, even using original 1960's sparklet co2 bulbs in the process for authenticity. I've seen others made by people from all over, but some believe mine to be the most accurate.

You might be wondering why 'Maggie'?

Well that all started with the tracking device prop from Goldfinger. In the film Q describes it as a 'Homer'. I produced a replica of the smaller version (the one hidden in 007's shoe) because no one had made it the right size before. So the smaller version got nicknamed 'Bart'. I then made the razor from Goldfinger that 'Bart' is hidden inside. Well Bart came out of Marge, so the razor got nicknamed 'Marge'. Then along came the TB breather. You stick it in your mouth like a dummy, so it got nicknamed 'Maggie'. Maggie also has a sister, so when I made the DAD version of 'Maggie', it got called 'Lisa'. I've yet to make Homer, but I do have it designed.

At the moment I'm working on 'St George'...

Cheers mate. Homer will be a long time coming I'm afraid, and I've already had someone email to say they can't wait to see the St George ATAC....... 'St George' is not an ATAC. That'd be too obvious :))

The MR cam would be called 'The Bastard', but pete already used that one for the SD/FE golden gun combination.

Guess I'll just have to settle for 'Flanders', the pain in the arse who never goes away.
