A couple of years ago, i convinced myself that for my 50th birthday i would go for a Aston Martin DB5 ... only one can dream of course , as it's now less than 2 years away and really don't know how i could afford one LOL ... the little one at home told me he would not mind that we sold the house and that we all went to live with grandma and grandpa LOL .
I only buy what i can afford (well sometimes the flexible plastic partner makes it a little bit easier, until the month after when you receive the bill )
I mainly collect sixties 007 memorabilia, i'm miles away from having a HUGE collection, but i like what's in it .
the holy grail for me, would be to find the 1965 shop displays made in France for all the labelled 007 clothes . erevery collection is unique and this is my target .
my favourite purchase of the month is a 10 m roll of fabric made in France by Romanex de Boussac and dated MLMLXV (1965) .... I love french items , only live 45 mins from the border
happy hunting and collecting to all ... you all know your mission
Many props I would consider to be holy grails.
If we are talking about memorabilia, I'd go for the french YOLT volcano model, but someone west of the Mississippi was faster
President of the 'Misty Eyes Club'.
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Many props I would consider to be holy grails.

I'd be happy to have it unboxed in my collection for a start
i only know one person who's got one ....
i regulary go to France , know a lot of people who collect toys and get up early to dig .... but so far no luck (and been like that since many years .
if you dig 60s french memorabilia , this radio guided boat is rare as hell as well .
it was sold in specialist shops in the sixties, wonder how many survived ?
this is not the one from my collection, but a picture taken from a guy on ebay France .
What's the knife model ? The case looks great. I'd just seen the original one at the Barbican in London - great job
Hi,
is the question directed to me?
I started working on the case some time ago - just cannot find some spare time to proceed with it ATM.
The knife is a Lansky knive, made of some polymer material -not detectable by the standard devices-

Oh my God! And I naively though Matchbox were on to a first with their version of Tracy Island!!
ok great,, so who is sd studios and where are they
thanks,,
Don p, are you new to this Bond collecting lark, and a bit on the young side, d'y mind me askin'?
no im not really new,, and im in my 40,s,, why...............
Briefly.
SD Studios produced the first movie replicas of this type in the ealy '90s. Bewteen TD and PB as JB, IIRC. The guy was an American JB fan and prop maker.
Production was advertised in various 007 Magazine issues of that time. Unfortunatley, the guy - Steve Dymsko (SP?) - went bust, a lot of orders weren't fullfiled and there was a bit of a bad taste left.
Therefore, the items are in very limied no's, highly priced, though not 100% SA, as you'd imagine from what was available 20ish years ago.
Highly prized, though, by some, including on here. I have the Golden Bullet that went out as an insentive, though replica gadets aren't my thing, before it went tats up.
I think that summarises it? Unfortunate you don't remember it.

Speaking of Holy Grail from the stand point of memorabilia, I just purchased all three of the Dr. No Corgi Icons and the rare display based on Dr. No's lair as seen in the film. I had my eye on this set for two and half years and I am glad that finaly purchased it.
It's a nice set PPK 7.65mm or should i call you Steve I had it also, but when i decided to go Bond props only, i needed to get rid off loads of stuff - including Corgi icons etc. Anyway it's nice piece of 50yrs memorabilia :007)

Yes I was very impressed, I looked on the Lansky website but couldn't find the model :-(
Toys? Nah. Replica briefcase. Niet: can't take 'em into business meetings. Now the Swaine Adney "James Bon" case? Yummy.
Back 'ere in Blighty organ donations are in high demand.

Now I need to build the case -{
And "Holy Grail" of my Bond memorabilia are my Bond prop nuts all over the world

Wow! I am impressed - Mine will not be 100% SA, though.
I wish I would have the same locks that you have... 8-)
