Here it is the morning of August 23, 2012, and still no official word of who the singer for the SKYFALL theme song is. Not even a hint if it has been recorded yet.
Yesterday, the hot rumors still mention Adele, while others say One Direction.
One site was wondering how we will hear the tune first. They wondered if the upcoming SKYFALL Coca-Cola Zero commercial would reveal it first.
My guess would be an official music video will be filmed and released before SKYFALL is released October 26 in the United Kingdom.
Boy, this new song is under tight wraps. I'm glad they can keep it a secret this time. The anticipation is incredible. -{

I certainly hope NOT, that would be a huge mistake imo.
I would like to see a classic, Adele would be fine, but as I have mentioned before, Dame Shirley Bassey has one more in her!!
I agree that this is a HUGE secret that is being well kept. Can´t wait to hear where we will hear it first!!
One Direction was just another rumor. Doesn't mean it is going to happen.
I would love for Shirley Bassey to do another Bond tune. I thought "The Living Tree" should have been chosen for Casino Royale (2006) and "No Good About Goodbye" should have been chosen for Quantum of Solace (2008).
David Arnold did sneak in a musical line or two of "No Good About Goodbye" in the film.
I wonder if they are waiting for October 5 to make the announcement of who the singer is?

For what it's worth, I'd say Adele remains the favourite. Closely followed by Muse as they are said to be appearing on Saturday Night Live with Daniel Craig as host on the 6th October.

I've been hoping for MUSE for years. If so, this would be a huge year for them, as they've done the official Olympics song this year as well, and are releasing a new album...
Did they ? I thought is was Elbow that recorded the Official Olympics song ? Danny Boyle got them to record a song for the Olympics...as they both come from the same town...
Muse ? I really, REALLY hope not...I find them bland....although I think they are the bookies fav to record the theme song now....at 4-1...
Incidentally, composer Thomas Newman has been at Abbey Road all month working on the original score to SKYFALL.
By the way, It is The SUN tabloid that is saying Adele was seen walking into the Abbey Road Studio.
Yahoo News India is reporting she is recording the closing credits.
Cant say I'm surprised, Jonathan Ross let the cat out the bag a while back so I guess she has been signed up to do this for a while!
