If you could be James Bond on one assignment, which mission would you pick out of the 23 (including NSNA), why did u pick that mission, and what wud u do differently when ur that Bond? I thought this would be a fun little thread to do.

Thunderball, by far.

He's in France, a mostly relaxing rehabilitation center, Nassau, lots of beautiful girls, parties, beaches, boats, water, and the list goes on. Even at one of the most tense moments, he's at a giant party, in the Caribbean. Everything seems really relaxed, and Bond never really has to exert himself too much, at least compared to most of his missions.

I find watching Thunderball to be extremely relaxing, like I'm on vacation on an island, so I imaging being there would be even better.

Intereting thread. I am minded to say CR (2006) straight away because it's my fave film, but that's not the question is it?

My mission would be LALD then. Here's why:

1. Mainly set in USA and Caribbean. I love America, especially NYC and the deep south.
2. The boat chase. Having owned a sports boat for years, I love boating.
3. Caribbean islands. As stated by the user abve I love Bond being on an island.

What would I do differently....hmmmm, well it would be one of the cute Caribbean guys that I get together with not Solitare or Rosie Carver!

Intesreting choices.... TB i find is a bit boring, and I was just about to say my fav film as well (FYEO/OHMSS) but I am going to have to say Octopussy just becasue it looks like Bond is having so much fun while he needs to concentrate on stopping the bomb. India looks remarkable, and I would be up on that train most of the time ducking and swerving.... but I wouild probably fail the mission by not following after Octopussy but instead staying at the island only inhabited by woman for far too long

TLD - for a good chunk of the film the villains want you alive so you can kill Pushkin. The whole Cold War vibe would be my sort of thing and I would love an excuse to ride a cello case as a snow sledge. I could go to the opera and the fun fair and still haven't encountered all that much danger. Jumping across buildings in Tangier might be a push... There probably wouldn't be any other time I'd get to visit Afghanistan and after getting to fly a plane, there's a good restaurant Karachi.

I wouldn't get with Kara and would probably have left her in Afghanistan. I never found her a particularly interesting person and could tell MI6 that I saw her truck get blown up and presumed she was dead. I'd go back and meet up with the PTS girl
