So my wife is watching the SkyFall trailer with me today and she casually remarks, "Oh, M has the same chandelier as us..." What? So she walks me to our foyer and points up...then points to the chandelier seen when M is asking Bond where the hell has he been....and viola...another inane Bond prop found.
After hours of phone calls, emails and tracking down the people involved at EoN, I can now confirm, for the first time globally, the first official confirmed piece of set dressing memorabilia.
Really hope this is popular with you guys, and hopefully it'll become a real popular item for us collectors.
The item in question was used during filming in turkey and sourced locally, which is why it was so hard to track down. But, having friends around the world, I got a guy over there to help out, which eventually gave me a name and number, a few phones calls, dollars spread about and some favours called in et voila, the golden nugget of info I was after; the name of the product and the source.
