Dunno. I quite like the shirt - for what it is.

Certainly no worse than Craig-Bond's Madagascar disaster. :p

I thought it was found that the shirt ended up being from a department store? Could be way off, but I thought I remember something about that years ago. Like the Alfani shirt in CR - just a last minute item.

That's believable. It's definitely not as luxurious or well-fitted as Roger Moore's bespoke Frank Foster shirts. And it's not as classy as the shirts Connery wore in Thunderball. That look should have been the model for these clothes. I agree with David Schofield, it's still better than the Madagascar shirt, which so many people here love. I consider these two loud shirts on par with Roger Moore's powder blue leisure suit in Live and Let Die.

Is it even supposed to be a high end shirt? Judging by the scene, prob not!

That's the problem. Bond should have higher standards. Even though the Alfani shirt in Casino Royale is cheap polyester, it still looks pretty good on screen.

Didn't last more than the season of the film in 2002.

    That's my jumper in the photo from Bond Lifestyle, BTW. :) -{

Ah, the happy days of Brozza-Bond.

Burtons Menswear used to make a shirt very very similar to that one - I know as I had it (only wore it on holiday you understand!) Not sure they stocked that bikini though :v

I own the Ballantyne "Brosnan" sweater. Really great sweater and very warm in the winter. In fact it's so warm, you could wear it without a jacket!

    roi007,

I purchased the sweather directly from Ballantyne back in 2002, when Die Another Day came out. It was my first Bond clothing purchase and it started me on collecting Bond clothes.

And do you think a real chance to get such an item today?

If enough folks want the "Brosnan" sweater and contact Ballantyne, they may re-release it. It's my understanding it sold out pretty fast back in 2002. They only had my size left back then, but did get another order in according to the Bond Street store. You could always check eBay, for the sweater, but again I think it was pretty rare.

Do you remember what they went for?

$700 plus I had to pay $40 in Customs. I guess they make some cashmere in the US. 8-)

Got mine at the same time (see post 3) and at th same Ballantyne store in Bond Street.

Price seems right, though paid in British pounds.

There was a plain dark blue shirt (can't remember which film) that was available from C&A.

It was from the TND motorbike scene. Almost bought it - the screen-used one, that is. Would have set me back a lot of money. So glad I swerved it. Didn't realise that it was a C&A shirt till much later on. £2k would have really hurt for a £20 shirt!
