Corgi- why no side view mirrors?

Two Aston Martins into my Corgi collection, and two cars missing side view mirrors... what's up with that? Even my little Johnny Lightning AM's have them.
Just curious. ?:)
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

The small newer DB5 (I think it's 1:50 scale), and the 1:36 Volante. I was thinking of adding the mirrors onto the bigger car myself. ;)

If you want a corgi BD5 with all the gadgets and wing mirrors you'll need to track down a cc04306, there's also the gold plated version of this which was released for the 40th anniversary cc04307, also released as a set with the CR DBS. Every packaging variant since the "Directors cut" model now has wing mirrors.

I'm pretty sure the OHMSS DBS has never been released by Corgi with mirrors and unfortunately despite it's potential must rank as one of their worst 1/43 007 creations.

In fairness unlike most other brands Corgis were designed to be played with by little destructive fingers, hence 90% of the original gold 261s are still working as well as they did when they left the factory and as much as I like the detail on the JL versions, my 4 year old nephew would have it in pieces in seconds, but he continues to love playing with his 48 year old 261 and believes he has one of the best uncles in the world, although I'm pretty sure that's largely due to him having his eye on a fully equipped AutoArt DB5; Dreeeeeam, Dream, Dream, Dream!
