Yip bottom button, totally out and center one out to both ways. I have bought loads of tom ford, gucci, prada stuff in the past and even some really cheap stuff from china and japan and the quality control on anything else I have bough has always been better.

Maybe the guy in quality control had a stone in his shoe?

    or

Maybe when making the jacket they stuck all the button up there nose and sneezed to choose the position of them!!

    damned shame.......

Mine was old stock, in fact I think it was a sample so didnt expect to be fussy however the buttons were sewn on poorly and I had to get them redone

Well they got back to me and said if I take the brand new jacket to a tailor and waste my time running about they will pay what the tailor charges for the repair!

My answer, stick it I want a replacement for the faulty jacket that should never have been sent out

    Hello to everybody !
I received my peacoat and I love it !
I ordered a M and it fits perfect (no need to taylor..).
I would like to thank Graham and BR for make it possible, and all the members of the forum.
I think that in life problems can happen, but the difference is in how people really want to solve them.
In my opinion, Graham has proved that he is a trusty and kind person.
And we all should be grateful to him (and to Mr. Mantis) for their passion.

How many of us lads Europe/UK side have got their missing Mediums recently?

Did you get shipping/tracking emails from BR first?

well, a slighly askew button wouldnt be the end of the world for me (I have a good tailor right down the street) but I understand where you are coming from. A tailor could fix this probably while you wait and for like $15...

just thought I would let you know its a VERY easy fix but it is definitely a quality control issue all the way.

    I´m still waiting.
I have no tracking mails from them. I wrote BR yesterday and they just told me the coats were shipped on monday. No tracking code.

Just actually laid it down and it's actually three button that are out, for me to go to a tailor I would have to head into Edinburgh which would take me an hour, there and back, plus probably 10 pounds for parking then the cost of the tailor. I found it pretty insulting that they told me they would pay the tailor expenses.

How about all my wasted time! They can have it back and no doubt sell it to the next person

They have now agreed to cover shipping cost both back and forward and any extra customs paid

If they had just made a reasonable offer in the first place someone else on here might have wanted it and to have made the repairs themself!

But at the moment the jacket stands me about 610 pounds with shipping and duties

I posted previously ( 624) on my thoughts on this situation and the more I read the more concerned I become over the matters raised in the various posts. It appears that the Quality control standards have been sidelined in a rush to get these things made quickly and shipped out. Given the fact that it is doubtless staff over at BR are reading these posts I am somewhat surprised that they have not commented to at least alleviate the fears of many by remaining mute. I for one would not accept below par QC from any other supplier. If it is deemed faulty it would be returned, I certainly would not waste money on correcting shortcomings. Just Saying.

Mine came today. I had no email or tracking number so it was a nice surprise. The good news- No defects. The bad news- leather is super dark. Collar is really dark brown and the pocket flaps are even darker which honestly look black. I'm not going through the hassle to exchange.
Fit is spot on size large to my 41" chest 34" waist. I could prob even be comfortable one size up

What is your chest size if you don't mind sharing?

The dark browns seem to be accurate to the BR website, seems to be chocolate to me so not sure why anyone would mind those. Being upset with jet black would be more understandable if it isn't your prefered colour. Lol hunnybadger beat me to the punch there!

A size 38, which i think Craig is too, but hes a few inches shorter and has about 20 or so pounds on me.

Do you know what size shoulder you normally are? Is there space in the shoulder here? Also what height/weight/waist are you if you don't mind me asking.

Okay, for those with the odd outstanding concerns.

My Peacoat arrived today. I was not advised it was on its way until I chased Graham, was unable to track, but at least it DID leave BR on Monday. Three/four days to the UK; perfectly reasonable. Those who are waiting, it's Fedex you need to keep an eye out for.

Logistical problems aside, this is a quality coat. I have had none of the QC issues reported by others, coat is as expected, my Medium is a perfect fit, AND the lining is, IMO, quite satisfactory. (I will not bother stating my bona fides here to make these comments; take me at my word).

Am I bothered BR have made a shed load of these? Not at all. Good for them for seizing the business opportunity. Was it worth the wait? For the coat I've now got - absolutely.

    Kudos.

Glad some of you lucky ones are getting them through

Matt (at BR) emailed me 3 weeks ago saying "Good news", your large is on its way

Chased and chased, still no coat and it is now appearing lost as BR are starting an investigation

Paid 4 months ago and still feeling very frustrated......

    Nothing.

No tracking code, no shipping mail, no coat.
I´m really frustrated with this thing.

I have to deal with customers daily, and i know that everyone makes mistakes and how it is to deal with disappointed customers. But it´s just too much. The Limitation Lie, the delay with having to beg for informations, no confirmation or whatever about the shipping, the quality issues some guys here have with their coats.

Anybody in Germany got his delayed medium already?

I am still waiting, but understand that gents in the UK and in Italy have received theirs last week already? Really hope it's the German customs that causes the delay and will have it soon.

I am still waiting for my medium coat to arrive. I have not heard anything from BR or the german customs.

I really hope there are no additional costs for the custom, because BR said everything from them to my doorstep is paid.

EDIT: i just got a call that my coat arrived at home :) really looking forward to try it on :)
