    Very good news, David.

I would also like to put my name down for a shirt. I assume you will be doing an order list nearer the time?

    Cheers,

    Mark

I think mantis has said in a previous post people will be able to buy direct from the manufacture. So there won't be a "run" as such.

No need to raise your hand and go on a list. When the production line is ready the manufacturer will have an ordering link for size payment addresses etc.

    I'd like one too.

I presume we'll be able to order direct from the manufacturer, yes?

    Looking forward to it :)

    Thanks.

    UPDATE!

The shirt, now in Jakarta, is looking like it may have a potential delivery date of late June or early July....I am hoping by mid may to have a list of fabric used, customization listed (ie what was done to the original shirt) and of course pricing. Also by mid way the manufacturer will set up the contact information so people can do more than raise their hand on a board. Expect by mid May manufacturing pics to be posted...I want to document the "making" of this shirt for the Bond community...so it is more than just receiving a shirt in the mail, but an opportunity for all of us to take the journey together!

Moving forward folks...looks like we will all have summer shirts to wear with our Topman chinos!

Thanks David , superb work !
I knew you would deliver and just in time for my hols :)
Await the exciting news in May

The timing really is terrific if all goes to plan. I'm sure a lot of us want to mooch around on the beach wearing these during the upcoming summer evenings! :))

I see Hart has announced a Enjoying Death shirt in his email circulars.

I am guessing he has your real shirt Mantis?

How does one get the circular's or get on the email list? Any images?

Awesome! Now I cross my fingers for late June, because early in July I'd love to wear it on a certain beach in Turkey...

    Incredible news!!

I never imagined this to become reality, as a supportive and dedicated community, it is outstanding what we can accomplish.

The Zara shirt will certainly be more than a "rare holy grail" of our Skyfall collections, but an item that people outside of our close community will not own, that symbolizes our tenacity and drive to seek what we strive for. These are qualities we should be extremely proud of.

Looking forward to the upcoming updates!

    Thanks David!

An UPDATE!!! Hart met with the first manufacturer Saturday.

See the pics below but we are making sure these replicas follow as close to the original as possible
Point 1 : We want the shirt to have the same stitching on the back (that creates the slim look on the waist and back)

Point 2: The grey placket on the bottom of the shirt on both sides left and right, we remove those and also we follow that curve on the side of the shirt.

Point 3 : The patterns do not meet in the stitching, this will most likely occur also on our ones.

    Here is the current situation
It will take a 1 and a half weeks for him to redesign the same pattern , and colour and create a " sample " of the material. Usually it takes quicker, the problem is he said we cannot cut your shirt - usually they take a piece of material and scan it but because they only have a visual sample they will need to redesign the pattern and match the light blue colour as close as they can, he said the pattern of the flowers is the time consuming one. Once the sample is done, he will meet with Hart again and we will have a picture and I will give input on the sample material.

Hart is also meeting another manufacturer this week to make sure he has other options, not just depending on one person.

He is also looking at the tally of serious buyers:
    1. getting the estimate of serious buyers - as he cannot negotiate price or identify the quantity without first giving them a number of shirts. When the material is done they will quote him , but they need the amount of shirts he will produce in order to get that price... usually these factories produce in mass amount, usually in the thousands, so they will need to charge a surcharge if the amount is low.

Do you mean the manufacturer does not have the real shirt to use in making the replica.

they have the real shirt (mine) but cannot cut it up into pieces as they usually would...it probably wont be an issue as long as they can scan the actual shirt...which they can. :)
  • SpookSpook Germany/Austria/SwitzerlandPosts: 23MI6 Agent
Sounds great! Does this mean you will start a list of serious buyers?

Can you say anything about the possible sizes? Having a size 47 chest I am a bit concerned about that...
