Was doing a little detective work in prep for this years Vegas trip in Nov and saw this photograph by Terry O'Neill from his upcoming book 'All About Bond' previewed in this months Esquire Magazine. As you can see it depicts Sir Sean in a baseball cap holding one of my previously declared grail items, the DAF cremation urn, at the location of the Slumber Inc semi exterior set. I was originally looking to tie down the exact internment spot for the late Peter Franks. I compared the movie shot to the still shot and they are different, apart from the lack of flowers in the still. I may find that this is covered in the book, when it's published, but in the meantime if you look carefully at the name plate on the plot above the curtains it says 'Paul Baxley b. 1923 d. 1970' The plate is set lower than the rest at the location, so I believe there may be a story behind the picture and it may have been taken as a crew joke because Paul Baxley was none other than the US Stunt Arranger on DAF and the DOB fits although Paul Baxley sadly died last year. I may be totally wrong on this but it all seems to fit and makes quite a good story.

I've just finished reading the DC article and noted that the photos mention he is wearing C&J's boots in some of their photos - we know DC seems to prefer these as his personal choice. The photos also mention he is wearing a grey shirt by Hartford - is this a brand that he also prefers as a personal choice or is it a product placement? I noted on Barneys NY website a floral shirt by Hartford very, very similar to the zara 'death' shirt. Just curious really - Hartford is a brand I'm not familiar.

Article is wrong that's not a grey shirt. Not unless it's from a year or two ago and they actually had a grey shirt. Possible since images are often post processed and colors change slightly to match a "look" they want in the print.

To me it's this (in Navy): http://www.hartfordstore.fr/men-collection/shirts/ac09007-paul-pat.html

It's the only shirt on their site that matches the color and button combination. Notice the buttons look more like some sort of horn instead of standard pearl which is typical of other Hartford shirts.

I looked at every single other shirt and nothing else matches.

    EDIT:

I'm linking this as a possible alternative (in Carbon): http://www.hartfordstore.fr/men-collection/shirts/ac09006-paul-pat.html#/17730

EDIT2: Consequently I happen to need shirts so I'm picking up one of each I linked plus a White and a nice Sky blue. I'll update on how it goes.

EDIT3: I guess I won't be purchasing from them directly at least not yet. Their e-store doesn't allow purchases outside of the EU. :#

I haven't found online stores that carry them except for Mr Porter but they don't have the right shirts.

Also it's interesting that the antiqued black Patterson jacket by Belstaff is shown so prominently again. Perhaps there is hope that Belstaff will produce more. I know a few of you want it pretty badly. Perhaps it's a good time to pester Belstaff again and see if they are doing a limited run or something?

I wouldn't hold out hope though. I just looked at their updated website and even the standard Patterson jacket is gone. It looks like they cleaned out all of their old styles which are only a year old. Shame.

My wife (Italian) is with family in Italy at the moment and has confirmed that a few luxury goods shops have the black patterson jacket in stock. A lot cheaper than UK prices too - 750Euros (yes, still very expensive but cheaper than London Belstaff prices!!). I will get some further details when poss.
