Daniel Craig to Guest Host Saturday Night Live on October 6

I wasn't sure where to post this (and didn't see it noted anywhere else) but the title of the thread pretty much says it all. Craig has never struck me as a particularly "spontaneous" type of guy so it will be interesting to see how he handles loosely scripted live television. I'm sure we'll get at least one James Bond sketch.

EDIT: Maybe I should have put this in the "Events & Screenings" section; to the mods: feel free to move if you think it more appropriate there.

When he gets in to a good laugh and light spirits he is a good time to watch, so this atmosphere could be enjoyable.

IMHO D Craig always seems awkward or uncomfortable on talk shows etc. So
I can't see this being a great show. Still good luck to him Hope he has fun.

This was a pretty fun interview with him:

But yeah, chances are he won't be too loose. Rooney Mara said she and him didn't really bond because they are both rather aloof people by nature.

He usually comes across like a snooty little spoilt brat on T V so it will be an interesting watch. Hope he doesn't pull his usual taciturn sulky face.

He's done theater before, so I expect him to do well.

Did anyone else in America see it? It will be online for Americans to view tomorrow, though I'm not sure about the rest of the world. I thought Craig was great. I'm not sure if the sketches seemed better than the last episode because of better writing or just because of Daniel Craig. It looked like he had a lot of fun, though reading from cue cards isn't his thing. It's nice to see him with his hair slightly longer. Even though it's more noticeably blonde when it's longer he looks more like a James Bond than with the crew cut in Skyfall. He looks less rough and more refined, as I usually expect Bond to be.

Has D Craig finally become Happy at playing 007.
He always seemed rather Stiff in interviews ( let the jokes begin ) :))
But lately in the few I've seen he seems more relaxed. Smiling
in a few and even telling a joke.
Is the presure off him now, Or with SKYFALL and the changes Back to a more
traditional Bond movie, is he getting to Enjoy the Role.

I thought it was great. And Muse was fantastic! As a huge Muse and 007 fan, I couldn't miss it...

I saw it, and thought Craig was surprisingly good. He was relaxed and funny, and appeared to be having a blast. His opening monologue featuring his tribute to those he has killed in his movies was hysterical, and the construction crew sketch had me howling. Not all of the sketches were up to par, but overall I felt this was a good showing by SNL and Daniel Craig really shined.

I really laughed during Craig's opening monologue and the "lesser known" Bond girls skit, especially showing Craig as Bond alongside lea michele, but other then that the skits were pretty humorless, it wasnt Craig's fault though, he did the best he could with what he was given, as a side note, i never really noticed how short he was compared to most of the SNL cast.
