You don't get out enough, Higgins. Mind you, given your taste in clothing that's understandable.

Blame me, Sir Miles, I suggested Cart take a look at this thread.

No, that was a good idea...it was just the near identical post...but no harm done...

To be honest even though I quite like Sir Sean Connery as an Actor in some Movies (Hunt For Red October. Indiana Jones and Entrapment) including most of his Bond Movies (thought Diamonds Are Forever was a little weak) I don't have that much time for him as a person, I don't know wether it's this political independence thing or something else.

I think using the analogy of a "mechanic" for Connery's contribution in the Bond franchise is a bit unfair. To me he is more than that and he indeed help to create Bond. When Connery took on the role it was either a make or break. Following the success of "Dr No" Fleming even changed the character's heritage as a nod to Connery. For me I would say Connery is like Michael Shumacher of F1 or Ferrari because he brought so much as the face of the company he became part of the management and receives regular pay cheques. In any businesses relationship between management or franchise and their star attraction must remain symbiotic so I sympathise with Connery with his relationship with Eon. As for his other attributes as a prima donna of sort that is another debate though I'm sure other Bond actors are more gentlemanly. Then again I heard about DC nearly beat up a fan for taking a picture with his phone and his wife stepped in to restrain him.

:)) Funny thing is only last night I commented to my daughter how,
We're born as babies, not able to walk with no control of our bowels.
Then we get old, and can't walk and have no control of our bowels! :))
