Any 'dark' Disney recommendations here?

Do any Disney fans post here on AJB? If so, I need your help. I'm looking for Disney films with a 'dark' meaning. This is part of my research for my article on Never Send Flowers (1993). I'd be grateful for any Disney film recommendations you can make here?

The Hunchback of Notre Dame was always considered a bit grotesque and frightful even in its Disney form.

There's a scene in Pinoccio that scares the beejusus out of me, one with mutated donkeys. Also, the original Snow White is nasty.

Well, one (probably obvious) fact is that classic stories were and are important to the core of Disney animation. Many classic tales that have survived and are worthy of feature-length film adaptation are for adults. Often times, Disney finds ways to adapt the older fantasy tales into family viewing (Cinderella sans bloody heels, for example), but still some of the stories will have a difficult to hide dark origin or theme.

Some of the best and rich enough tales that Disney finds to adapt are complex enough because they were written for adults or more roughly grown children by adults.
