    Definitely.
TSWLM was the most fun I had watching Bond ever, but really, TMWTGG was closer to the Bond I really enjoyed, and Moore's best performance as Bond IMO.

Wait! Is this a RM thread?
    *checks*

Oh, okay, just thought I might be somewhere else... :))
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

Enough talking! I'm watching it now (TMWTGG) :))
I don't really agree with people who say RM is an "old fart" Bond, he's not really meant to be a really young guy, in the books hes almost having liver failure

    Bellboy: "Aah sooprise, (weird laugh)"

So good....but perhaps we should start our own thread :)

Seriously, the introduction of Dalton as the new Bond in the PTS has to be the most original one: three agents, one looks like Roger Moore, but is shot; the other looks like Lazenby, but falls...the third is Bond. Must have been great when the movie was first released. I bet many thought, "ey, the new guy looks just like Roger Moore...oh..wait..."

yes and the disappointment that the new Bond looks like his own bookkeeper - now that was a surprise :D

    Interesting analogy indeed, Markus.

I can see Connery covers the Alpa-male Celtic bases, Lazenby his Antipodeoan cousin. Moore and Brosnan the two-pretty-to-be-tough-so-we-don't-have-to-worry-about-it. I can even get Craig as either Mr Ordinary Everyman or The 2012 Version of the Alpha Male depending on your taste in vodka.

    But Dalton as the bookkeeper...???

Really don't see anything of the Bookkeeper about Dalton. Perfect casting in my book.

Just curious, did anyone else think "The Living Daylights" was a stupid name for a Bond movie before you saw it? I sure did.

I really like the name. But, for some reason (I've no idea why) it reminds me of a western.... ?:)

You may not believe but even back in 1987 there were newspapers, posters, film trailers - unless one was dragged into the theatre by his guide-dog most people were quite aware that Dalton would be Bond in the film they were about to see.

... although in hindsight those with the guide-dog can be called the lucky ones who didn't have to see Dalton "acting." :p

Subject change- I absolutely LOVE this line from the film, as well as Dalton's delivery of it:

"STUFF my orders! I only kill professionals. That girl didn't know one end of her rifle from the other. Go ahead. Tell M what you want. If he fires me, I'll thank him for it."

    That was a 'whoah' moment for me. -{

For me as well, perfect, pure Bond in a sentence. Captures his moral code, rebellious nature, and jaundice /internal conflict re his role. A standout moment.

Personally, I' happy to put any past animosity behind us. Hence my use of your first name, if you like.

I'm on AJB exclusively now and it seems pointless being needlessly unpleasant to anyone as far as I'm concerned.

well, if I recall it correctly, the namecalling came from your side and I have been VERY patient with you ;)

So it is my part "to put animosity behind us" and as you refused an apology - Mr. Bondtoys for you or Sir :D

I certainly don't recall any "name calling"! Maybe something there is lost is translation. Further, I'm not sure how you've very been patient with me???? Seems a rather childish attitude. We had a difference of opinion, that's all, nothing to apologise about.

However, if you prefer to be difficult that is entirely your choice. Bizarre and extremely disappointing but undeniably revealing. I was hoping for a better co-existence. Clearly you are not. If I am missing something obvious, please let me know.

    Well, my memory works:

    http://www.ajb007.co.uk/topic/31172/the-oliver-peoples-airman-the-facts/

Let's summarize that all started after I brought up infos that the sunglasses from QoS are TF and not OP.

You where the one who was sniping on every bit of information that I have contributed to AJB.
Now who was right at the end?

    As for the namecalling:
Its a great shame neither yourself nor Bondtoys felt able to pass on this information "some months" ago to avoid other being victim to, appartently, £255.00 worth of "misrepresentation"...

That's something I am not taking easily after you have been teaming up with Adam Simmonds to keep that false informatuon as long as you could.

And if you see my replies, I have been VERY patient with you.
The fact that you never admitted your mistake and refused to apologize with Asp9mm and me leads me to how I react.

Well, as I've said before, I leave others to decide the rights and wrong of that affair. The posts and threads are out there - as they have been for some time - for people to view: I will stand on the judgement of others, not yours.

And as I expected, you cannot find any evidence of "name calling". It must be a linguistic issue you have with the expression. And I don't think you quoting my suggestion that yourself and ASP9mm might have conveyed any information they had earlier equates to some kind of conspiracy between Adam Simmons an I! Indeed, it merely illustrated yourfailure to undestand what was being said, which I prefer to put down to translation issues rathe than anything else, though I could well be wrong.

I offered to move on in a sense of mutual appreciation. Clearly you remain childishly unwilling to do so. And rather like the OP thread, I will happily leave it to others to decide right and wrong in an attempt to move on more pleasantly, rather than with continued stubborn hostility.

    8-)
