Boxsets

As a poor student (I will play that card for as long as I can), I expected to have to wait until Christmas before I was going to get my hands on a Bond DVD box set. I've been putting this off for years, content with Sky+ing ITV or else making do with my VHS collection. But finally something snapped within me. I think it was spending the opening 10 minutes of several films "tracking"...

2 days ago I received an email from a competition I had forgotten I'd entered many months ago. I've won £100 :o and though I don't plan to blow the lot in one go, I'm up for spending a considerable amount on a Bond box set :D I consider it a worthy investment -{

It turns out that there are several more box sets than I expected so I was hoping for a bit of help in deciding. Ordinary DVD, not blue ray.
Can I expect any extras? If so, which box set provides the best? Sturdy box and cases? Anything else that you feel I should know :)
Relax darling, I'm on top of the situation -{

    generally no Bond boxset is a financial investment - it will give you a fortunes worth of pleasure but if you are planning to make a profit or get your money back then do not bother. There have been many sets made and there will be many more made in the future.

    Why not trawl fleabay as there are literally hundreds of used ones for sale from about 20 quid.

    I saw a set of 10 bond bluray movies the other day for 25 quid

    Try to get the post CR released sets, prior to this the quality can be quite poor unless you're looking for the authentic cinematic experience.

    You should be able to get one of the ultimate briefcases on eBay for 60-80 quid and it should at least hold it's value.

    Though I never intend to sell, I figure the 50th Anniversary set which has a definitive end point to the films that should be included would hold its value much better than previous sets. Perhaps, as an anniversary item, it becomes more collectible since it isn't an open-ended collection.

    I have just seen the new bluray boxed set - and think you should invest in a bluray player ( although students usually already have a PS3)

    seen as low priced as £74 for 22 movies with extras and booklets

    bargain viewing at less than 4 quid a film!

    Well then again going for High-Def set, you'd need a Full-HD tv, not just HD ready to feel the experience ;)

    Edit: Just watching OHMSS from 60inch panel, gotta love it :x
