I had both and I can tell you that the pictures are very misleading. If you had it in hand you would know the difference at 400%. The Magnoli's does not have the same effect at all. The TF Greene party is actually a very very very special tie, the effect it has is great. I wish I still had it.
If you can't trust a Swiss banker, what's the world come to?

I need that tie, Welshie; looks like snakeskin! I have various Tom Ford, but no movie models. I like the Magnoli ties, but I do find them somewhat under-par in comparison; quite course and hard to tie correctly.
i knew it. Magnoli wouldnt have made a mock up tie based off of the images on the internet. good tie. will have to purchase it once i get my brosnan-era ties

I'd highly recommend Ratio Clothing. Made to order shirts that are made in the US and start at $89. They offer tab collars as well, though they're not up on the website yet. I'm not affiliated with them - just a big fan.
I hate to say it but there's really no point in Magnoli making a shirt like that - it's really just a white tab collar shirt, which can be found anywhere. There's nothing particularly distinctive about it...
Tab collars can't really be found in any shops these days, though Magnoli should be offering it in cotton poplin, not twill and pinpoint. And he likes to do [ugly] edge stitching, which totally messes up the look of the collar and cuffs. If you get any Bond shirts from him make sure it has the traditional quarter-inch stitching.
Unless you want a bespoke shirt with French cuffs for a decent price...
Except that this is not bespoke, it's made to measure.
There is NO WAY that you can have a bespoke shirt or suit without in person fittings (2 at least). Bespoke means they will create a pattern for you, not tweak an existing pattern.

"the tie is woven (jacquard) and the one shown on the site is from the actual production run so it is not a prototype nor mock-up."
So there you have it.

This is a good example of the differences in feel. The TF have effects that I have just never seen on other 200$ ties.
"...at 400%"?
This a Canadianism, Tout?
Huh?
Yes he prob did use Internet pics!!! Don't think the REAL tie is actually out:)
