Thought I'd revive this old thread as I just played 007 Legends 2, also known as Call of Duty: Ghosts. Now maybe I'm reading too much into the game but some of the levels were really reminiscent of certain Bond action sequences. There is an underwater level about halfway thru the game where you must sink a destroyer and in diving to your destination you come across salvage operations involving all sorts of vehicles right out of Thunderball. The second to last level is a battle in Earth orbit clearly inspired by Moonraker as you and your squadron exit a space shuttle and make your way to take control of an enemy space station containing a deadly WMD. I played the PS4 version and the added visual fidelity really helped to pull me into the game.

I agree Ghost has a lot of Bond elements to it. Great single player campaign that kept the tired franchise feeling fresh, too short however.

Might as well revive this thread cause it's gonna be a loooong time (read: never ever ever) before we get a decent Bond game.

Other games I've played that have some elements of a good Bond game:
    - GTA V, open world, lots of variety, stealth, vehicles, shooting, under water. Not sure how an open world Bond game woudl work due to the amount of international travel he does but maybe they can do something like several smaller open worlds that he travels too.

    - Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. So this is a mini game that gives us just a taste. Very well done stealth game. They moved away from the magic suit and got more realistic. Great use of the iPad too as a companion app.

L.A. Noire, I highly recommend. It's a well-rounded game with puzzles, gunfights, car-chases, exploring the city, but it also does something really unique by letting you converse with real flesh-and-blood mo-cap characters.

Definitely the Syphon Filter series! It's like an Americanized Bond series. Check out Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow. They are both fantastic in story and gameplay! The original quadrilogy might be a bit dated in their controls and difficulty, but if you have a PS3 and can bear old school TPS controls, give them a try (except for the fourht game, The Omega Strain, which is aweful, the first three is a classic trilogy). Syphon Filter was Sony's answer to GoldenEye, make a shooter with a spy background.

I like the Uncharted series of games. They have the grand scope feel to them. Plus they are remastered now for the PS4. So you can go back and enjoy them.
    "Sic Parvis Magna"
    "Greatness From Small Beginnings."
