3 bonds in a row

JarvioJarvio EnglandPosts: 4,241MI6 Agent
Well, last night, I decided to watch some bond movies on DVD. Before it was very late and I needed to sleep, I had watched QOS, Dr No, and TLD, all in a row. It was a treat. :007)

Just wondering, has anyone else watched 3 bond movies in a row, or more?

I might watch some more today if I get the chance!

I have watched three in a row while doing a Bond marathon. However, I always watch them in order. I have never just watched three random ones like you have done.

I went to a couple of triple-feature Bond marathons in the theatre as a teen, but these days if I can find time for ONE movie, that's good...
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

For a long time I had never watched more than 2 Bond films in a row, but then I took the plunge and watched all 22 in a row. That was great fun. I thought I would get bored, but I really didn't. I enjoyed each film as much as I ever enjoyed them before that viewing. I got to the end of Quantum of Solace and still hadn't had enough!

    OMG!

I am old eough to remember the "Bond is back to back" double features from the early 80s.
They used to put two movies together that were non-consecutive. I rather like that idea.
Does anyone have a link to a few posters of the Back to Backs on the net? I have Googled and can't find anything.

Tonight I might watch OHMSS and Living Daylights!

I'd sometimes break them up into catagories, i.e.
YOLT, Moonraker and DAD. as fantasy Bonds
FRWL, OHMSS and CR as realistic Bonds
Goldfinger, SPY and Goldeneye as fun Bonds
or watch what you consider the best of each Bond actor.
I've also watched them In decades to see the changes in style and film making e.g.
    Goldfinger (64), Golden Gun (74), Octopussy (83) :))

I've watched Goldfinger, Thunderball and You Only Live Twice in order all in one day, and I had a ball. I also used to go to the movie theater back in the days of double features and I recall seeing Dr. No and Thunderball together.

Watched TOMORROW NEVER DIES, THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH & DIE ANOTHER DAY one Sunday a couple of months back. Exhausting but enjoyable.

I too remember the old cinema double-bills. Great times.

last year I watched the first five Bonds back to back, it was a Saturday, and I there had been loads of snow here in the UK, so I thought "Why the Hell not" I went from Dr No to YOLT, and it was great, I really enjoyed it. I think it should be something I do more often. If only I had the time.....

Ive watched all of the Connery films in a row (minus NSNA) when they had a marathon on tv. I eventually plan to do the same with the Moore films once i get them all on DVD.

On a related note, does anyone plan to watch the full Bond 50 Blu Ray set in a row?

I remember them doing that in the 70s (maybe even in the 60s) - great days.

Thanks for sharing that. Most surprising to me - the relatively high score for Moonraker.

Ahh, a bunch of drunk college students.... NSNA was WAAAY to high, as was Moonraker, and DN & TLD so low? They just wanted laughs & excitement IMO.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. But yes, NSNA and MR way too high...

TMWTGG seemed to get the short end of the stick lol

I thought so too, but it IS a strange one, and I expect it to get dumped on by now. :))

It's not my favourite by a long shot. But I noticed that only 2 people sat through that one, so the smallest sample size.

Man, I want to do this... if only my friends were as obsessed as bond as I am.
