REVIEW: Magnoli Clothiers QoS cardigan

As promised a review of my Magnoli Clothiers QoS shawl collar cardigan in black.
After 3 months wait I had been expecting a high quality product as Magnoli is widely recognized as a professional tailor company.
I must admit that I am a bit disappointed with my product. First a couple of pictures of the one pictured on the Magnoli website and the original Tom Ford:
Magnoli:
I apologize for the quality of my pictures, but you should be able to see what is going on.
The front of the cardigan. As you may notice, I have rolled it down to the second button. The shawl collar was very narrow, so in order to get an almost screen-accurate collar I had to do this.
They have used a very thin material in the bottom of the cardigan, which makes the bottom crumple and the thicker material above it billow. That is not very flattering.
The leather buttons (5) are VERY nice.
They have sewed on the two pockets in a weird way so that the wool around it crumples. It helps a bit when you are wearing it, but not much.

The back of the cardigan.
Shawl collar back.
Overall:
The material is great and it has a LOT of potential, but the pretty poor (and very inconsistent according to the other Magnoli cardigans I have seen) tailor work makes it not worth $175 and 3 months delivery time. I use it and it looks good but it could have been a lot better. The devil is in the details, and it seems that the details have not been thought through by the Nepalese tailors responsible for this.
I am pretty hesitant to ordering from Magnoli again in spite of the many good reviews.
As I said, the original looks great on pictures, and the material of the Magnoli cardigan has a lot of potential for making a great product, but he fails to quality check the tailor work.
Guess I'll just have to get my hands on an original Tom Ford one day.
Not that it can't be a beautiful sight...
(Pardon the light conditions)
But worth every minute!
I also bought the Tom Ford Cardigan, one of my favourite items. Happy to have a Stuntdouble from Magnoli for any occasion
Yes, really good quality! Pic of my Magnoli Cardigan is from this year and I wear it a lot and a good companion on Travels. My Tom Ford Cardigan is only for special occasions
