It's not too expensive, but I personally don't think the quality of the perfume is high (compared to Tom Ford).

It's not that bad at all, very light though and I haven't tested it over a whole evening yet, I bought a 50 to try, a 125 to keep and also the ltd edition gold one to keep. The other half says I'm not allowed to use it in place of the Hermes so it will be reserved for boys nights out.

I have just found out that Kohl's will be the one carrying the 007 Fragrance and related products in the USA, starting from October 17th.

I would like to point out that the Financial Times today points to a quote from the book From Russia With Love, Tatiana says that Russian men wear scent. Bond says : «British men bath».

Bond did not wear fragrance, says the Financial Times.

I just tried a spritz of this at my local store, but it failed to impress me. I lack the proper terminology to describe scents in vivid detail, but it just seemed very ordinary and dull, with none of the excitement that you would expect from 007. I much prefer the Tom Ford For Men fragrance that I currently wear, which I find much more exciting and powerful. The girlfriend likes it too, so I can't argue with that! ;)

For any Canadian Bond fans looking for the 007 fragrance, try your local Shoppers Drug Mart store. I popped in tonight to grab some groceries, & to my surprise they had a little display set up right at the front entrance.

I find the idea of a 007 fragrance more than a little silly.

I'm pretty sure there was a passage in which Bond explicitly states that he doesn't use any fragrances. Some woman - I can't remember who - asks Bond why the British don't tend to wear perfume. He responds, dryly, 'We wash'.

its nothing to be so rigid about, its just a cologne. im definitely going to buy it. besides, an article on Jamesbondlifestyle.com says "A personal favourite of Ian Fleming himself. It is said that the fragrance is used by Bond in the novels, but this is not confirmed. Floris lime bath essence is mentioned by Ian Fleming in the novel Dr. No, but not specifically No.89." so even though it doesnt mention which cologne in particular, it is mentioned in the novel. i think that should be enough. to each his own. i bathe too, but i still like a very sophisticated scent from a nice cologne.

I have to agree that if you are a serious Bond fan, you shouldn't buy it or wear it. That's a gimmick to sell to the masses.

Bond would never wear that. There is a big difference between these cheap perfumes and Floris, Tom Ford and Hermès.

I wasn't trying to compare floris 89 to the new 007 fragrance but my point was that even Ian Fleming wrote that Bond used a cologne in the novel. Whether it was once, or five times Bond still wore a cologne.
