Tomorrow Never Dies: Bond uses PPK until he's in Wai Lin's place in Shanghai, were he picks out the P99 and states he wanted Q to get him one.
Bond appears to have a silencer on it during the Stealth Boat Massacre….what on earth for?

For me my favorite version of the PPK's used on screen would be the model seen in Licence To Kill, followed by the Goldeneye version with the suppressor. Like Chris, I own that same model airsoft PPK which I target shoot with all the time and I also own a Ken Nulls SMZ holster(which is close to the Galco Falcon holster James Bond uses in the film.) which I use to display it.
I like the one Eric Kreigler shoots away from Moore during the FYEO ski chase. Also the one Connery drops from the roof in TB. I always wondered what Connery was firing from behind his Aston Martin door in GF. A P38 maybe? Or maybe the Walther air pistol used in the FRWL publicity shots?
I really hated the P99, and felt that even John Gardner's replacement guns seemed more Bondian. It just looked too bulky.

I concur. -{
I also agree, the p99 was far too bulky for Bond's use, even in CR in the Vega holster, the ppk is a much better gun to conceal as was the asp 9mm used in some continuation books.tho the p99 was a better choice for some of Brosnan's scenes such as the stealth boat and even the PTS in ge would have warranted a bigger 9mm suppressed side arm.
I like the ppk in fyeo, with the brown bakelite grips, the nickel version is more like something a villain would have!
I also quite like the qos version, which I think might be a manhurin ppk.
Chris, are your airsofts made of steel? If so why not strip the black paint and blue the slide and frame?

@ To The Right, In Goldfinger the pistol Bond uses when he is behind the door of the DB5 is the P-38 which is also seen in the hands of Goldfinger's men for a majority of the film. In Thunderball, the dropped PPK is a pre-World War II model with the bulldog type front, later PPK's changed this for a more rounded design.
unless you have a professional spray gun to use and know how to use it to it's full poitential, i'd say leave it as it is mate.
I have some experience... 8-)
Here's a Star Trek VI phaser I made entirely from scratch
(the handle for that gun is a rip off of a Berretta 9mm which I had to make from plastic), it's waiting to be molded & cast, so I actually do this stuff a lot... :007) )
You are a GEEK, and I say that with great admiration!

I have a Maruzen PPK and Pyramid air PPK. Sadly I don't have the Maruzen Silencer kit for mine. I just stuck on a cheap receipt paper tube for display.

Question for experts like yourself: in my readings on the actual gun (not my silly little bb version) I've come across something know as 'the Walther bite' which seems to indicate an irritating cut on the hand produced by the slide during blowback... is this really the case for some? On both of my bb versions the slide is nowhere NEAR any part of my flesh (clears by a good 3 or 4 mm). Is the real PPK or PPK/S different? Or is this just a problem for owners with large or chubby hands-?

Yes it can happen if you don't hold the pistol with the tang snuggly over the web between the thumb and forefinger , the pistol can rock backwards (with the slide travelling at a few hundred MPH" and slice the fleshy part of the web. I have seen both cuts and minor scores when it doesn't actually break the skin. It is more amusing when someone crosses their supporting hand thumb behind the pistol and wonder why their view turns pink
Both real guns, the makarov now fires 4.5mm steel or lead shot with a co2 cartridge, great plinking gun, powerful and loud, always raises an eyebrow or two at the range.
I silvered the ejection port and now I love it even MORE!
I guess I'm easy to freak. )
I'd love a de-activated PPK, or a Denix replica, but where I live it'd be easier & almost cheaper to just buy a real one. Sadly, I don't want a real firearm in my home. So this is the closest I can affordably & safely come.

Despite the fact he hardly had any use of it but the P.P.K. with the optical palm reader in Skyfall was amazing, no-one else could use it but Bond himself.

I also own this airsoft PPK/S http://www.basspro.com/Walther-PPK/S-Operative-Airsoft-Pistol-Kit/product/1409111617/ since has a thread on silencer and it pretty close in my opinion to the Goldeneye PPK.

LOL, no, nothing so solid. My previous two are probably a cheap metal combo, my new ones are plastic (but they really LOOK like metal).

No, he doesn't use an early PPK in LTK, that is a myth built on Stembridge selling loads of PPK's claiming they were screen used. Which they weren't.

Still trying to track down spare mags though
