Let me start that these aren't perfect matches but especially for us colonists, these are great alternatives without looking like too much of a wannabe. All prices are USD.
Black leather dress chukka $99:

Have not personally bought these or tried them on, but I'm sure they'd be comfortable and a worthy alternative. I'm eying these big time!
The watch I bought is a Citizen BF0580-57Lwatch at Macy's for $80. 41mm case, water resistant and close enough without spending a whole paycheck:

just bought this today and it's a nice piece for $80

Clarks Taupe chukka boot $70:

bought these a couple of days ago and they are so comfortable! I love clarks boots.
Wingtip dress boots like the lodge scene boots- Red Tape Wingtips $60

bought these yesterday, very comfortable and got a lot of compliments today.
Peacoat - Old Navy navy blue peacoat $60 (photo may be black):
http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=5286&vid=1&pid=252791&scid=252791002
have had the navy coat for 5 years and it's held up great!
Undershirt for lodge outfit - light blue:
http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/mens/shirts_polos/tees/PRD~1088023/SONOMA+life+++style+Solid+Thermal+Tee.jsp
bought this last weekend and it's a nice, comfortable shirt with a similar look under a brown coat.
"Enjoying death shirt" gray button up with no pattern as a look-a-like:
http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/mens/shirts_polos/button_down/longsleeved/PRD~1141609/SONOMA+life+++style+Solid+Casual+ButtonFront+Shirt.jsp
Comfortable casual shirt, unbutton the collar and roll up the sleeves and you have a close enough shirt without people asking you about Bond all day.
I know these aren't all perfect replicas and alternatives, but in my opinion, they are close enough and have the same look as shown in the film pics. Hopefully some of my fellow budget friendly members will get some use from this! If you're on the other side of the pond, I'm sure you can order some of this stuff and it should be cheap enough.
**Also, feel free to add your contributions as I'd love to see what else is out there for reasonable costs that I wouldn't regret!

Agreed. The main downside to it. But all in all, for $80, I cant complain too much.
I highly recommend the Billy Reid Pea Coat, nothing like it, but for those that can't crack the change, this alternative for $65 will fit the bill and its a decent fit as long as you size down.
To go under your Barbour jacket, this green-teal-blue long sleeve actually does the trick...and at $10 you can't go wrong...again size down.
Also with your Barbour, pick up these slim cut cords in dark brown for $22.95. Pretty well made too!
You need gloves to go with your Pea Coat in Shanghai, and for $14, these leather ones should do nicely....
If you favor the longer over coat while looking over London, you are going to need a light grey scarf...why not try this one for $16.99.
these ok as a budget?

they aren't bad but i always prefer to buy shoes locally as you can try them on and see which size you need. Little different if you've already bought a pair from that company but buying shoes or clothes online can be risky in my opinion.
Be sure to inspect the boots for imperfections. Looking at them some are darker, some are scratched up. Crap shoot if ordering online.
Glad you all like the dsw wingtips. Theyre very comfortable but definately give them a check over like any shoes... I actually dyed the lighter heel black to match the rest of the sole on mine.
from mattalan for £4
and also from mattalan for £15
now i need to sort coat, boots and scarf..

If so the last few items posted are too light of a brown.
colour of my pants is deceptive , the are pretty much the colour of davids in the post above mine.

can someone confirm that bond wears just the teal tee shirt under the wax jacket?
Man those are almost spot on! Some of the pics from the set make them look this color. My dsw boots may be too dark. Good find!
i reckon they may be slightly to light in shade ?
these are the origional:

these are what i may go for:

He wears that light blue/teal tee over a white thermal long sleeve.
right.... got ya..
and the teal tee should be short sleeved ?
Correct:
Though I don't think we'll see it like that on the screen...
Anybody reckon my "find" is close before i buy?
I have been seeing all the pictures and I can't recognise the corduroi trousers.
Anyone please ?
Well, to be honest... No, not really. That's a pretty standard wax coat with a corduroy collar. The Lodge jacket is more of a erm... Jacket.
