This was taken in store and accurate to the naked eye. Way too light/tan IMO.
Ah, awesome, thanks for the in-person pic! I'll stick with my dsw boots then.
Wondering if a quick dye job to a browner color would make them very close. The DSW shoes are nice but feel/type seems to be towards distressed leather rather then smooth. Thoughts?
For the cheap price a little experimenting wouldn't hurt too much.
Looks like the people on the Dappered site also wanted to do some color adjusting to the Stafford boots by adding black shoe creme, and the result was this:
I bought a peacoat last weekend in a second hand store in Amsterdam. Of course it is not the Billy Reid peacoat. Instead, after doing some research on the internet I found out that it was made in the early 1950's. It still looks great though and is of a great quality. As soon as I pick it up from the dry-cleaner I will post a picture.
UKers get an awesome Clark's selection. The thick tread on the sole would be a problem to me. Throwing a more accurate resole on those would be sweet. -{
I have two pairs of those Kurt Geiger boots - one pair in tan and a pair in dark brown. They look great and are some of the most comfortable boots I've ever had! Highy recommended!

Would you say the dark brown is more to the Skyfall style than the tan one?
I picked up the "close enough" wingtip boots at JCP today because I couldn't get order to go through online. Good thing, too, because they run very big. Had to get a full size smaller than usual so keep in mind if you order online. Highly recommended.
I highly recommend the Billy Reid Pea Coat, nothing like it, but for those that can't crack the change, this alternative for $65 will fit the bill and its a decent fit as long as you size down.
To go under your Barbour jacket, this green-teal-blue long sleeve actually does the trick...and at $10 you can't go wrong...again size down.
Also with your Barbour, pick up these slim cut cords in dark brown for $22.95. Pretty well made too!
You need gloves to go with your Pea Coat in Shanghai, and for $14, these leather ones should do nicely....
If you favor the longer over coat while looking over London, you are going to need a light grey scarf...why not try this one for $16.99.
My Target doesn't have long sleeve teal T-shirts, but I found similar at Belk on sale for $10. They are heavier than a T-shirt but lighter than a sweatshirt.
Any recommendations on an inexpensive ( < 500USD) alternative to the Levi's jacket or the Barbour?
I recommend the Wested Leather Indiana Jones Last Crusade Jacket. It's already per-distressed but you can easily add to that too. A quality jacket and excellent value for money!!
I think the Strafford Camlin boots have been mentioned here already and the conclusion was that they were too light in colour, well, i thought i would post a couple of pics of my pair that have been polished with black shoe polish (the lighting in my pictures doesn't actually represent just how dark these now are) and they look much closer to the Islays now.
I also added some more substantial laces as the ones that come with them are very thin and just don't look right.
Another budget alternative I can recommend is a pair of next cords, on the link below if you select the colour (now bear with me) 'purple' they are a very close colour to the lodge ones, much more like a dark brown than purple, they are also very slim. http://www.next.co.uk/g48314s6

Post up a few pictures of them being worn when you get them as I like the look of these.

It's nice! Just wish it wasn't two buttons. Idk why clothiers are making 2-button tuxedos for! Stick to the classic one button!
