I'm wondering if there's a middle ground between the real thing, and just-a-pair-of-blue-lensed-aviators! :))

The bond community has done a great job so far ID'ing some excellent alternatives in this thread. I may well end up with a pair of real Marko's, but I should prefer a more affordable alternative in the mean time.

I hear you, but from what I've seen, the best that you'll get is a basic pair of blue aviators with a double bridge. Once you get to a certain point, they all look pretty similar.

This is the exact model that I described in my previous post. Do you see how the bridge doesn't run directly into the lens frames? It sits on top of it. If you just want glasses that remind you of the TF's then that's probably the best that you'll get. There's not a REALLY close replica for those.
I hear you. The problem actual is finding a match to the lens colour. The more I look around, the more I appreciate the Marko's.

    Hi Guys

Really love these boots as an alternative but I live in the UK so the size would need to be spot on first time.
I'm a UK 10 but can vary between makes, can anyone who has them confirm how they find the sizing?
I can't see any UK stockists but if anyone knows different please let me know!

Honestly, I bought those and returned them. Found them very uncomfortable, and was concerned that the materials were flimsy and wouldn't hold up. Will be buying tetbury when the $ are available but if I couldn't, I'd look at other alternatives. Nordstrom carries a few nice chukka style dress boots, and some can be found on amazon also. The best I've tried so far were the Gordon rush Thompson. Well made, very comfortable. Size didn't work out for me but if it had I would have kept them.

Went to Barneys Fashion Outlet Factory store (Niagara NY) today and picked up a pair of these. They are okay comfortable but got them for $101 tax in.

Also picked up a Brooks Brother cashmere sweater for $119

Hi.. just to confirm.. did you buy that leather jacket at England Boutique?....
What's written on the tag? it doesn’t seem to be the England boutique logo.

I’m about to order that jacket at England boutique... but I just saw on Ebay this wrinkled version.. I didn’t like it.. its too wrinkled:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/SKYFALL-Mens-BROWN-WRINKLED-Lambskin-Film-Movie-Style-Real-Leather-Jacket-/261193179549?pt=UK_Men_s_Coats_Jackets&var=&hash=item3cd053a19d

its confusing because there is like a "normal" version:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/SKYFALL-Mens-Brown-Film-Movie-Style-Real-Soft-Lambskin-Nappa-Leather-Jacket-/281032437002?pt=UK_Men_s_Coats_Jackets&var=&hash=item416ed6ad0a

Any way I will ask Boutique about this two versions.....

Can you help me by telling me if that’s England Boutique jacket or where did you buy it.? because it looks like a good replica. I’m XS size.

    Thanks for your attention.

Bought these at Sears today. Not an accurate colour but a steal at $25. They look better than in the pic in my opinion. Hemming because they're too long is a no-brainer; I'm wondering if I can fade them to a pale blue with a mild bleach solution?

The Aqua colour is much more green and also darker in real life than in the pictures.

I've emailed the guy making these and messaged him on ebay to try and find out what's going on, as I want one pretty bad too and have been waiting since it was announced. I got an email back in February saying he emailed the manufacturer and that time frames on production are never an exact science. Since then, I've emailed and messaged a few other times just asking if he had any updates or could give me an idea when it'd be available, but he's not responded since February. Kind of disappointing. Really hoping it pops up sometime this April. No way I can afford the real deal.

Yeah, looks like it doesn't it? he said it's a highly detailed replica. not sure how well it will compare to the real barbour, but it looks good enough to me.

    thank you for the updates.
fingers crossed for this spring. the real barbour beacon is a nice jacket but to be honest £399 retail price (and even £600 on ebay) is way too much for a cotton waxed jacket.

I'm hoping it comes out sometimes within the next month or two considering it was supposed hit ebay back in January/February. and yeah, that and the levi's jacket are really overpriced. I usually see the barbour starting out at $800 on ebay and the price just goes up from there. ridiculous. it's all because of the skyfall tie-in. otherwise this stuff would be a lot cheaper. the only actual piece of clothing I'm considering to buy from skyfall is the billy reid peacoat, which is quite pricey too.

While the eBay price is inflated but the Barbour Tkt came out before SF. The official stocklists in US have been selling them at $799.

I wasn't sure if it came out before or after the movie. $800 is still a bit pricey to me, but considering it is the jacket featured in skyfall, I wouldn't mind paying IF I had the money haha. but considering there's a million other things I want/need, $800 for a jacket is just out of my range. some of these ebay sellers are charging as much as $1500 for the barbour which is clearly a rip off but they know it's a skyfall jacket & they know people are going to pay that much (if they're dumb enough) there's some levi's on ebay right now for $2500! unreal.

Not the best lookalike, but I thought I'd post it. It has the pocket, and knowing Allsaints, it will have a thicker, more rugged feel.

A few pics of some CR magnoli items recently aquired. Can't recommend the CR leather jacket enough! Provided the measurements supplied are good you'll be really happy. Please forgive poor quality pics. Fit pic of sunspel polo too.

Alternative for Skyfall Lodge Jumper I have seen it in store and colour is a good match and you could remove the chest pocket if you really wanted to loose it as its sewn on externally

I had a feeling that if we could be patient and wait until the warmer weather we'd be seeing quite a few places stocking this style of trunk. I've now seen trunks that rip off...I mean, are inspired by...the Orlebar Brown trunks in Sears and Joe Fresh, in addition to the JC Penny ones shown above. If we wait another couple of months I think we'll see them everywhere.

good find, lust have the legs shortened a bit

Wore these swimming today and noticed something - they become very loose once wet (does this normally happen with nylon?). My waist is 32" and, due to vanity sizing and North American men wearing their clothes WAY too big I normally take a 30" or even 28" (!) pant. But the 30s were a bit too snug so I sized up to 32 which fit me perfect - until I got in the water! They're now 2 inches too big and I'm amazed they didn't slip off me when doing laps!

I'm assuming that now that I've cut off the tags and worn them in the pool, even though it's only once, I won't be able to return them... :-(
