I read on some forums that you may want to see if it is part of the Loake 1880 collection, or the quality can be a hit or miss. Alternatively, I found these on their site http://www.loake.co.uk/kempton-rubber-sole.html
I popped into debenhams on oxford st today and took a look at these. Didn't pull the trigger as I wasn't convinced. Found them quite heavy and didn't like the leather.
But would like to hear what others think when they see them.

They look nice ,but also have a look at the Russle and Bromley versions
Wow, that is one awkward/stiff looking model. He looks like he was roped in to posing for his uncle's website...
I notice that they do custom shirts, and you can order both a tab collar *and* turnback cuffs (called Portofino cuffs on their site). Anyone ever buy a shirt from them? What's the quality and service like?
Couldn't agree more! I'm contemplating pulling the trigger on a shirt from them and if I do I'll post about it here, but until then the gent from Gentlemen's Gazette has a nice review here. http://www.gentlemansgazette.com/modern-tailor-shirt-review/ I always take these with a grain of salt though as he buys shirts that cost as much as a car.
Not that COS is all that expensive, but for those of us in North America who are without the privilege of ordering their merchandise online (seriously, wtf?), The Tie Bar has a tie that's remarkably similar to the black textured one in the Shanghai scenes:
Just received the aston grey harper chukka in the mail after seeing some posts about them here. they are a perfect alternative to the C & J tetbury. even has the narrow, tapered toe like the tetbury. they look and feel pretty well constructed. I usually wear an 11 in all my shoes/boots and the fit is perfect. highly recommended! only $99 & if you sign up to be a member (which is free) at the DSW site, you get free shipping. only a few sizes left! http://www.dsw.com/shoe/aston+grey+harper+chukka+boot?prodId=270421&productRef=SEARCH
Not exactly cheap but at under £80.00 it’s an alternative i can afford. The actual colour is pretty much what you see on the website (to me it does appear to have a slightly green hue to it). The wool does feel really smooth and the fit is regular. It’s not too thin so it feels like it will provide some real warmth when it gets cool outside.
I'd keep a close eye on gap and old navy this year for budget skyfall. This is probably the first season they could get skyfall inspired pieces to market. Remember old navy after CR and QoS.
Agreed about the Gap and Old Navy. Banana Republic just gave us the closest I've seen to the Enjoying Death shirt (aside from Hart and Mantis's project, of course).
Gentelmen, i happened upon these while looking for some new shoes for myself to go with my suit. a possibly alternative for the Crockett and Jones Tetbury
I am obsessed by these boots - they look amazing. I can imagine them with my slim fit grey suit and tab colar shirt.
Has anyone bought a pair, how do they feel on?

A lot late to the party, but I was intrigued when I saw this pop up as a suggested article to me this morning. Interesting to read what people were guessing Bond's wardrobe to be like based solely on the trailer:
They aren't on the website, but I was in H&M today and they have a pair of Tetbury knockoffs for super-cheap. They're likely plastic instead of leather but if someone is VERY tight for money...
I also saw a great pair of darker brown wingtips by Pegabo in The Bay. Dressier than the Islays, but it's nice to have shoes that will go with my suits in addition to more casual wear. Virtually no grip on the sole though, but very soft, beautiful leather. They're a bit darker than the pics:

Thanks! That looks good. Think I will go and take a look at that.

I was just in my local GAP ( Moorgate, London ) and they have the Navy Pea Coat back in stock. It's marked up at £89.99
They had 3 each of small and medium, and a couple of large and Extra-Large left.
Got the XL myself, really nice fit, and a decent alternative seeing as we're not all on the MI6 payroll

Yes, it's ok for the price, to be honest the used cotton is not very well, but if you don't expect to much it's a nice budget alternative.
I listed these a couple of months ago as a budget alternative but they don't hold their shape.

Or this as an alternative Harrington, granted you would have to remove the label from the front.

I have that Harrington in midnight blue and removed the label. I'm very impressed with it

Was it easy enough to remove the label? Did it leave a light coloured patch where it had been?
