Very easy.... And no patch. They had 2 versions of the blue. One was very dark and one was more faded. The dark one is a great replica. Only thing is if your chest is bigger than 44 forget it. They are very fitted.

Can't say enough good things about Johnston and Murphy...great alternative to the Tetbury, and the leather holds up very well. They just brought these back for the fall; I bought a pair in the spring. Have worn these almost every day for several months and they still look fantastic:

The N.Peal lodge jumper is still available in store or if you contact them by phone. But as mentioned earlier in the thread, a good alternative is from John Lewis (UK). The size, shape, feel and finish is very close to the N.Peal (at a fraction of the cost). I've put the two together for a colour match. Together you can see a difference, but when worn with the lodge jacket etc. it really is a great alternative.

Obviously not the same quality as Billy Reid or Tom Ford, but a great option for Bonds On A Budget. I've been wearing one for several years now, and I have no complaints. Plus, if you wait for a coupon or sale, you can usually get about 30% off.

If you're in Canada, The Bay has a new 5 pocket moleskin pant made by Dockers for $79. Very dark brown (I thought they were faded black when I saw them from across the aisle) and quite slim fit. There's no link or image I could find on the web yet, but it's a nice budget alternative to the Bitter Choc Iggys. Very similar fit and the moleskin looks better than some of the larger wale cords I've seen (I'm assuming the Corduane had quite fine wales).

Next boots arrived today. Hmmmmmmm, look a little bit cheap tbh, but well worth the £35 for work use, so cba returning them. May yet buy the Loakes myself.

    Anyone else bought either pair?

I have Loake Kemptons in Brown Suede (live in these at least 2 pairs a year), Black leather and Tan. Great boots and fully recommend them plus they look after me with the occasional discount code :007)

    Cheers

They look great but are even more expensive than the Deberhams ones!
    Thanks though.

The Loakes are great and will be keeping them for good wear.

I bought a pair of Hush Puppies Highland boots last Christmas and they are great for work and are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. They might be hard to come by now but I would definitely recommend them.

They've rubbed me at the top of the boot near my achillies area.
I'm not used to boots, will try to persevere but I doubt I'm gonna get much wear out of them.
A bit cross to say the least because I wanted to complete the Istanbul look!

I wear ankle boots/shoes from autumn through spring as I like the look and the added warmth they provide and even with very expensive shoes, I occasionally get rubbing around the ankle bone or elsewhere. Wearing large plasters on the sore areas the first few times you wear them, and when watching the telly try holding them in your lap and working the stiffer areas back and forth to soften the leather.

Giving the boots a second chance!
I have manipulated the heel, and am wearing them about the office.
    Feels much much better.

    Anyone else had similar problems?
