Giving the boots a second chance!
I have manipulated the heel, and am wearing them about the office.
Feels much much better.
Anyone else had similar problems?
yup got them Friday evening and wore them all this week for work .
were very painful in the same place up to this evening when they have eased off a lot.

"some men are coming to kill us, we're going to kill them first"
Just found this on Topman, could be an O.K. alternative to the N. Peal sweater. Not quite the right colour but it's a good price. Plus you currently get free shipping if you use the code FREESHIP at checkout.

waiting for my order from EWM with the 10! pound shirt and I also ordered a grey/black cardigan similar to the one Bond wears in QoS at Mathis. Exciting to see how it looks!

Feet much better. Leather has settled down and they are not rubbing almost as much.
Really pleased with them now.

A budget alternative for the Billy Reid peacoat can be found here. http://www.vintagetrends.com/military/thumbnails.asp?MC=Military+Vintage&CA=Men&SC=Jackets%2FCoats&ST=Navy+Pea+Coat These are vintage military peacoats so 100% (heavy) wool. Prices range from 50 to 275 dollars. They ship to Europe as well. Ordered one today (from 1956 in size 40, I have one from 1950 in size 42 but that one is a bit too large) and I expect it to arrive in a week or two. I will post pictures when I get it.

I have this shirt and the extra slim fit is good, not too tight (I'm a 17.5 collar and 47" chest). Have a couple of shirts from this supplier and they are very good value.
I sent for the EWM shawl collar cardigan (very dark blue) in a XXL - it looked really good, collar a little small compared to Tom Ford (but at this price I can live with it) but...it was huge on me and I'm not a small guy!
Returned it and am awaiting a L. Will let you know on the fit when it arrives.
Picked up the cardigan (size L) from EWM today. Much better fit and a very inexpensive addition to my wardrobe. Goes well with a nice crisp white shirt.
TM Lewin have just introduced a run of tab collar shirts with double- cuffs, which look great - close to the TF ones. They do one in white snd one in blue:
These look great.
Anyone know about sleeve length?
I am a 16in collar, what sleeve length shall I get?
I always find sleeves a bit too long for my liking.

They offer variable sleeve lengths because everyone is different. So a bit hard to recommend something for you just based on neck size.
But here is the way to measure the sleeve length you need (taken from the TM Lewin site):
"Measure from the centre back of the neck to the shoulder then from the shoulder down to the wrist bone."
This measurement corresponds with the variable sleeve lengths they offer (34", 35", 36" etc).
You then choose the closest sleeve length to what you need. Maybe you can also measure some shirts of yours that have a good sleeve length and use that as a guide.
Thanks for that. I definitely want a couple of these.
Maybe after next pay day!
Now an update on my Next boots!
Absolutely fabulous. Rubbing on my ankles has stopped and they are 100% now!
I love em so much that I may get a second pair!
Two items from Old Navy; an off-white henley with rounded collar and a teal (they call it Turkish tile) fleece sweatshirt. Don't know what the prices would be like in the US or elsewhere but in Canada they are $6 and $18 respectively with this weekend's sale. Luckily not as hugely oversized as Old Navy's stuff usually is.
I have gone through 14 pages. Can someone give me some links to some barbour jacket alternatives? I am in the US. Everything I find is UK based. thanks!
