Just set up the DVR. Looks like the Bond segment is only part of the show. There's other segments being covered to (non-Bond).

Yes, I didn't point it out, but it is still under the 60 Minutes format of being one of a few pieces of the night, at around 15 minutes of total coverage per piece.

Just finished watching the Bond story on 60 Minutes, entertaining segment and great promotion for SkyFall. Story had some historical perspective, gadgets, product placements, etc and the reporter, Anderson Cooper, fires a Walter PPK at a firing range with help from the instructor who taught Brosnan and Craig. Also, for Lexi, there is a brief interview with Craig. Anderson Cooper appears to be a fan of Craig as he states Craig has breathed new life into the franchise. All in all a nice piece.

I just watched this myself, I was quite impressed with the interviews with Craig, the producers, and the visit to the prop archive.

Also seeing how the armour Jos Skottowe taught Anderson Cooper to fire a Walther PPK on the range was great.

I agree with those who say it was an informative and entertaining piece. I'm glad I caught it.

Fun piece in which the whole franchise looks professional and appealing...

The glimpse in the archive, showing the golden gun, odd job hat and Dom bottle from dr no, all well worth it.....

If it's repeated, I'd try and catch it...

I believe the Bond segment, along with some additional footage can be seen here. http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50133123n&tag=contentMain;cbsCarousel

I say I believe, because I am at work and they block all streaming video. I guess they expect me to be productive.

Decent segment on 60 minutes. Later that night after my local news there's a show called A Second Look. I usually don't watch it, but the Bond theme caught my ear. Low and behold, the entire 30 minutes was devoted to past Bond segments that have aired on my local news. Once I find a link to the show I'll post it. The segments featured were about the gadgets, the A View To A Kill premiere in San Francisco and a segment filmed during the production of TWINE. It was a very enjoyable 30 minutes. I e-mailed the news station asking if it'll be posted on-line. Haven't had a response yet.

Just heard back from my local news station about their Bond show. They post the shows on their Facebook page. Currently they're a few shows behind. Once it's posted I'll probably post it in this thread. Or should I create a new thread?

I'd be curious to see it. Maybe a new thread will make it easier for others to find

You make a good point. It's posted on the shows facebook page. I don't think you'll have to like the page to view the show. Once posted, I'll make a new thread. Just keep in mind that these are repeats from shows past. The segments are dated, but very interesting to watch.
