Your thoughts on The very hungry caterpillar ......

First published in 1969, same year as OHMSS. The book follows a caterpillar as it eats its way through a wide variety of foodstuffs. The parallels with Bond watching all the girls eating many different kinds of Foods in Blofeld's clinic are obvious.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar introduces concepts of Lepidoptera life stages where transformations take place including the ultimate metamorphosis from 'hungry caterpillar' to 'beautiful butterfly'. Rather like the transformation that Bond undergoes
in the novel YOLT and the 2006 Casino Royale Movie. From new recruit to "OO".
I'd love to hear Members thoughts and perhaps they could recomend other books with little known Bond references.

    Wow, I din't realize that.
Yes, the parallels with Bond are obvious, I saw that as a 12 year old.
Here's an excerpt of a Dick & Jane book I held onto:
"See Jane scream. Scream Jane, scream.
    See Dick slap Jane."
    That's so 60's Bond, dude!
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

Isn't this the infamous book that President George W. Bush referred to as his favourite when he was asked this question by a journalist?!

Don't really see the Bond connection though...I think that you're spoofing!

True - maybe there is something in that from the point of view of structure. It'll all be in the best possible taste! :D Plus, Thunderpussy started it!
