Roger Moore's "hidden" DVD commentaries

I've got the James Bond Ultimate 2-disc Edition DVD's (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61T%2BtmLyC2L._SL500_AA300_.jpg) And on the back and in the menu it says it has a commentary with cast and crew. However, when I go through the audio channels during the movie itself it also contains a commentary track by Roger Moore (of course only on the films he is in). I was very happy and surprised to find these commentaries because it is great to hear his opinions on the films. Some of which he claims not to have seen in over 25 years. If anyone has the same series and didn't know this, give them a try. And maybe I'm the last one in the world to have found this out :D.

I haven't heared all of them yet, but I thought this was pretty well known actually :) - I think the blu ray versions also include these audio tracks. (As the blu rays are basicly the ultimate edition.)

From what I've read from other members on this forum, he repeats himself quite a lot during these commentaries, and sometimes talks pretty globaly, instead of staying on topic on the movie... But I haven't really checked it out, I'm going to listen to them as well I think! :) - Oh and I think Brosnan has done this on Die Another Day as well... I wish the other Bond's did it with their movies as well!

To be honest, Roger Moore repeats himself very often. In his books, his interviews and also in these commentaries. If I had a nickle for every time I heard him joking about his fear of sounding like Connery while saying Bond James Bond or the joke of Maud Adams to Herve I would be very rich indeed. However, it is a nice gesture of Sir Rog to do this for the DVD's. I was just surprised that the commentaries aren't 'advertised' on the DVD sleeve or the title menu.

I think that there is only one of the Moore Bond film UE DVDs that Sir Roger does not commentate on - not altogether sure which one this is, although I have them all - perhaps someone here on AJB knows?

He commentates on all the Moore titles I've got. Dear old Roger does have a propensity to drift off topic, being more interested in related anecdotes than actually talking about the film. Moore could have done with a moderator in tow to keep him on track.

If given the chance, I actually think Dalton would provide a more engaging commentary. I'd particularly like to hear his analysis of LICENCE TO KILL 23 years on.

It would be great to hear Dalton's commentaries on his films! By the way, I'd like to hear Lazenby's and Brosnan's too (I think SC would never do something like this).

I was just watching For Your Eyes Only with Roger Moore's commentary, it really is enjoyable to hear the man talk and tell you all kinds of small things you didn't know about yet. I also thought it was quite remarkable that he mentioned he wasn't aware that the producers were aiming for a more serious tone in FYEO compared to what they had done in Moonraker. His occassional jokes in the commentary are also hilarious. When Bond & Melina are in the house together after the car chase in the yellow citroen, Roger Moore's commentary goes: "I think the big question here is, did Bond do it with her, or did he not?" Then he explains that he believes Bond proberbly didn't do it, and says: "I can't remember doing it anyway...." :)) Classic Roger !! Great to hear the man talk! I think I am going to watch his other movies with his commentary occassionally as well!

Yesterday I watched AVTAK with his commentary and it was great fun as always. He was very clear, as he has been on other occasions, that this is his least favorite film of the 7 he did. But it is always nice to hear his small anecdotes on specific scenes and other actors.
