Royal Doulton are cashing in and have created a limited run on the ornamental bulldog seen on M's desk.

    Oh my goodness...I've become my grandmother and started collecting Royal Doulton figurines. Now where can I find a lace doily to stand it on?

    Possibly the most sentimental and best Bond prop you could ever buy too.

    I am beyond gutted that these are sold out. I was waiting for payday to buy this... which is in one hour 15 minutes. Gutted.

    Don't worry, with this kind of demand, they'll make more. -{

    If they do there will be a lot of pissed off people as this is a limited edition X-(

    Limited is just another USP. It's a nice thing, regardless of how limited it is. :)

    The only way I see more being made is if they make the 007 Stamped version limited. Which I don't particularly care about.

    They still turn up on Ebay for a BIN of £50. It might take a while for them to realise they are sold out at the source.

    Actually, just looked at Ebay and even they are drying up. I think this item will become very sought after, so it may be worth paying more for one, as they are sure to get premium prices in the future.

    It was actually listed as sold out for one day last week...and then popped up as available again the following day. So don't despair just yet, they may just be taking stock!

    where did they say these are limited?

    I don't think I remember seeing RD themselves describe it as limited, although I - evidently like other people - assumed it was as movie tie-in merchandise is often only available for a limited period while stocks last. Whether that's the manufacturer assuming that they'll only sell well during the first few weeks/months of a film's launch and therefore not manufacturing in massive quantities, or whether it's that the license from the production company is only valid for a certain period of time, I don't know. But movie tie-in items don't tend to be around forever in my experience.

    I could be wrong, but I thought I'd seen them advertised as a limited edition, can't remember where.

    The term 'limited' is used on RD's website in the items description;

    "Each 'Jack' has a limited edition 007 backstamp and specially printed box sleeve."

    On the item itself there are no mentions of limited edition, or a '001/500' etc, so my guess is that the skyfall signage is the only 'limited' element. I'd be very surprised if they don't make any more.

    It's far too vast a collection to photograph it its entirety. Anyway Bondtots, did you get one of these doggies?

    I made my purchase last week. I haven't received it yet but it should be arriving shortly. By the way, when I originally went to their website the item was not available. I thought that it was sold out. However, I signed up to receive an email notification when the item came back into stock. So folks out there that are still looking for this item may want to sign up for that email notification and see what happens.

    Here's a listing I found on ebay which shows the limited edition box sleeve and the SKYFALL logo on the bottom of the piece.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/James-Bond-Skyfall-Royal-Doulton-Bulldog-Jack-MIB-/281014281273?pt=UK_DVD_Film_TV_Film_Memorabilia_LE&hash=item416dc1a439

    Right now I think there's three of these listed on ebay at $114, $150 and $258. I picked up mine for $70 US when they had them on sale for a short time. Again, if anyone is still looking for one of these I would wait it out and sign up to be notified if and when they come back into stock. The secondary market on these things seems to be artificially high at the moment.
