I got the impression the whole thing was a bit rushed, like it was a wrap in one take. I like the song and the enunciation doesn't bother me terribly, the lyrics are a bit wish-wash, I agree but probably a 7 on 10 overall which equals satisfaction. :)

(We do expect quite a lot, don't we!)

I can't comment on her other songs as I've not heard them.

But if it is true, that her diction is not as bad in her other songs than this one... then that confirms to me that she is doing it on purpose.

I guess she's ruined the song then, as far as I'm concerned. Well done adele. If only you pronounced things normally... then we'd have a decent finished product of a song.

Ah now come on, for someone who sounds like one half of chas n dave, she don't half transform when she starts to sing. Personally I didnt think much of Adele's song Skyfall, but when you see it along with the title sequence it all just fits into place. Her style can be somewhat 'one trick pony shirley bassey sound-a-like' but I really think she's done a great job.

Look at it this way, we could have had bloody duffy :o

After seeing the film, it all becomes apparent why she was chosen. Before yesterday I would have said Muse would be the better choice, Ive even said Noel Gallagher could have done a great job.

But it's not all about the singer, their style and their ability, its the big picture you need to consider, and out of all the singers suggested, i think Adele fits the bill the best.

You'll seen what I mean when you watch the film.

    I understand...
You guys are so lucky able to see this early. Skyfall doesn't come out to NZ till the 22nd of November, a month away! :o

I understand that it may look and sound awesome with the title sequence. Which I'm looking forward to. I guess the pronunciation is just one of those things that really annoys me with the song. Everything else is fine, including her singing voice. It's just when she doesn't say the words correctly... just gets on my nerves, because if she did that one little thing (say the words correctly) I'd personally enjoy the song a lot more.

I'm a singer/songwriter myself, and I bet if I mispronounced words on purpose, my mates wouldn't let me hear the last of it :))

    But yeah, this whole pronunciation thing seems to be annoying me more than it's annoying others. I'm surprised it didn't come up more often... Maybe I'm being too picky, but it's just how I feel about it -{

When you're sat in the cinema and the intro scene has just finished it's build up to the usual climactic opening track, just remember the word....

    'STOLAYYYYYYYYY'.

    Enjoy the film. :D

In addition, I'm actually more interested in hearing Newman's score. I think that's vastly more important - A title track can be overlooked but a score can break the entire movie.

The score is just kind of...'there'...it does have certain 'motifs' running throughout it...you'll understand when you hear it...but it's also very non-descript in places too...

Congrats to Adele on her baby boy joy! The trolls who said they would kill it etc. are truly sick individuals!

    Jesus Christ.

I'd not heard that before, that's a bit much isn't it? Shame to say it, but there's some very foooked up people out there.

Hope adele and mini-adele are getting on fine. Hope the nasty twittererererers get a good kick in the face for it.

I didn't mean to imply anything of this nature was said on AJB - I merely meant it was said in the news (I heard it on Heart, a London radio station yesterday, which incidentally gives much airplay to the Skyfall track). All over the newspapers today, too, mind. Truly sick Twitter ****.
