Everything or nothing dvd release date?

Does any of you well informed abjer's know when the dvd release date is for Everything or nothing? I would have thought it would make sense to release it close to skyfall for promotional purposes.

Yes, I'd like to get this on DVD too.

I'm a bit perturbed about the lack of anything on telly to promote Bond's 50th Anniversary. I'd hoped for a BBC or C4-produced documentary of some sorts.

I think the problem is that now sky have obtained the rights for bond for their Sky movies 007 channel, itv and such cannot show bond and therefore cannot produce such program's. the sky channel is brilliant but it's no good for the millions of fans who don't have sky movies. As for the DVD, I would imagine that they want to capitalise on the hype and release it around skyfall. I can see them putting it as a special feature on the skyfall DVD/bluray. That would be a mistake on their behalf as they have opportunity to make more cash, but it would save us getting ripped off. I can't wait to see both the film and the documentary as I didn't get chance to see it at the cinema.

I hope I'm not spoiling anything for anyone, but I just found out the entire 1 hour 38 minute documentary is posted on Youtube! (I suspect it will be off the air soon due to copyright issues) I only watched the first 2 minutes so far, and decided to share it here on the forum for those who are intrested:

Thanks for posting, excellent documentary, I learned quite a bit.

Seems like Cubby and Harry were screwing Sean early on.
    Lazenby admits, he screwed up.
Why Harry didn't sell to Cubby is beyond me.
Dalton's interview was interesting, I think he was a Bond before his time.
Brosnan and GE were key to Bond's survival.
    Brosnan's interview is interesting.
Thought it was odd they didn't mention QOS.
    Bond is KING.

me too! their was a four year lay off and many (like entertainment weekly...) thought Bond may never return. seems like a purposeful omission but I don't really understand why. if not excluded on purpose, the time from CR to SF, it was a glaring oversight. also other than the voice over in he beginning no interview with DC. we know SC declined but why no DC?

I enjoyed the video. I don't think I learned anything new though, but it was great to watch. Thanks for posting the link. I also don't think Connery was screwed. It seems to me it was a mutually beneficial relationship. Undoubtedly the producers benefited more, but then again they took all the risk. I wonder if Connery would have refunded his salary if film two had failed. If he had to do it all over again knowing what he knows now I doubt Connery would have passed on Dr. No because Cubby and Harry were horrible people to work for.

The reason I believe he was screwed is the United Artists gentleman stated that Harry and Cubby kept going back for more money and got more money, but didn't give Sean anything more. I believe Harry and Cubby thought anyone could play Bond, they were wrong.

I thought Connery was a pretty high paid actor at the time. I can see how an argument could be made that they could have been more generous with him, but that it different from being screwed. I have had a job or two where I have felt I could or should have been paid more, but I would not say I was screwed. In my opinion you've been screwed when you are promised something that is not delivered. That may be the case with Connery, but I haven't heard that they promised him more money and then didn't deliver. In the past when I have had a job where I felt I was not being paid adequately, that is when I started looking for a new job.

I agree that not just anyone can play Bond (just look a DC {:), just kidding), but the franchise did survive with out him.

Ultimately the producers are the risk takers and deserve to reap the rewards. Connery is a hired hand who in theory could have just gone onto another gig had it failed. That said, the success was phenomonal and you can argue Connery did more than just do a hired hand role, esp with the Japan shooting schedule.

Same old story, Sean Connery was an employee, Cubby and Harry where the company who refused to pay a bigger salary. However, in context I think Connery was right.
The guy from United Artists says it very clear, "they renegotiated their deal many times and they were keeping themselves happy, but they weren´t keeping him happy". I mean, even if they paid him well, Connery knew by 1965 Bond was the biggest in showbiz, and he wasn´t seeing any of the money it was generating (they invested it on a hollow volcano). Also, you have to realise he wasn´t doing only an onscreen performance, they probably wanted him to appear here and there, and with the Bondmania at its peak that must have been difficult for him.
They should have reached an agreement (as they did in DAF). Connery is still regarded as the best, but the character did indeed survive his departure.
