Something that makes a good Bond film these days...

One element that I've noticed that is making a good Bond film these days is TIME.

I've noticed that the better Bond films of modern times are the ones that have had a bigger gap that two years between them. Goldeneye, Casino Royale and now Skyfall (based on early reviews.) If this is a true, would you prefer to wait four/five years between Bond films and have them high quality or every two years where they seem rushed and will never be as strong in material?

It seems they do need longer to get a script right these days. In the days of Connery they had a book with all the required elements so could just do a quick adaptation. Plus the nature of the shoot with fewer elaborate stunts to orchestrate meant they could churn out one a year between 1962 & 1965 quite easily. If the only way to make a film of quality is by having a longer gap then I'm willing to sacrifice a frustrating wait for it.

Hmmm you're theory makes sense, but I really preffer to get back to the old 'one Bond movie in 2 years' thing. I think they should be able to deliver great Bond movies within that time. I think EON said they were planning on realising Bond 24 & 25 within 2014 and 2016, but you never know what obstacles are ahead again of course...
